Braddah Jiu-Jitsu Sydenham

Braddah Jiu Jitsu was founded by Lucas Sachs and Martin Melecchi, creating a community of passionate martial arts practitioners dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for all skill levels. With multiple gyms across Sydney, Braddah has built a culture rooted in respect, discipline, and camaraderie. The academy believes that Jiu Jitsu is not just a martial art, but a way of life that teaches valuable lessons both on and off the mats.

The foundation program is designed specifically for those who have never tried Jiu Jitsu before, providing an informative and enjoyable introduction to the art. Experienced coaches guide students through the fundamentals, building a solid foundation for future training. Whether members aim to improve physical fitness, learn self-defense, or compete at the highest levels, Braddah Jiu Jitsu is committed to helping everyone reach their full potential.

Head instructor Lucas "Bambam" Sachs is a 4th degree black belt with over 28 years of training experience. His competition achievements include 1st Place IBJJF International Masters North America (2023), 1st Place IBJJF Pan Pacific (2022), and multiple state and national championships. As a coach, he has led teams to 8x best competition team at the RS State Championship in Brazil, and championship titles in Australian competitions. The coaching team also includes co-founder Martin Melecchi (black belt) and instructors Diego Prates, Brett Gibson, Raphael Moraes, and Domenico Novello.
