Nova União Grajaú is an affiliated academy of the legendary Nova União team, one of the most prestigious Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu teams in the world. Founded by André Pederneiras and Wendell Alexander in Rio de Janeiro in 1995, Nova União has produced numerous world champions in both BJJ and MMA, including legendary fighters like José Aldo and Renan Barão.

Located in the Grajaú neighborhood at Rua Duquesa de Bragança, 15, this academy offers a comprehensive martial arts program including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (gi and no-gi), Muay Thai, and specialized programs for all ages and skill levels. The academy features modern facilities designed to maintain fitness and wellness for the local community.

Led by Professor Alex Barros de Oliveira, a Nova União black belt, the academy provides expert instruction across multiple disciplines. The training environment emphasizes the Nova União philosophy of technical excellence, competition preparation, and building champions both on and off the mats. With programs ranging from kids classes to advanced adult training, Nova União Grajaú continues the team's tradition of producing high-level practitioners and fostering a strong martial arts community in Rio de Janeiro.
