Brazilian Top Team

Brazilian Top Team (BTT) was founded in April 2000 by Master Murilo Bustamante and a group of elite fighters who revolutionized combat sports training. As one of the most prestigious martial arts teams in the world, BTT has produced numerous UFC champions and world-class competitors across multiple disciplines.

The team was created to develop and implement innovative training methodologies for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, submission grappling, wrestling, and mixed martial arts. BTT's systematic approach to training has influenced martial arts academies worldwide and set new standards for professional fighter development.

Master Murilo Bustamante, the founder and head instructor, is a 7th-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a 1999 IBJJF World Champion, four-time Brazilian National Champion, and former UFC Middleweight World Champion. His leadership and technical expertise have made Brazilian Top Team synonymous with excellence in combat sports. The Rio de Janeiro headquarters continues to train athletes who compete at the highest levels of BJJ and MMA.
