The academy is led by Professor Douglas Toyoshi Ono, who received his black belt from legendary Atos founder André Galvão in 2008. Professor Ono brings extensive expertise to his teaching, holding a Sandwich degree in sports sciences and physical education from the University of Coimbra, Portugal, as well as a degree in Physical Education from the Methodist University of São Paulo. His lineage traces back through the Atos system: Galvão → Tererê → Luis Dagmar → Osvaldo Alves → Reyson Gracie → Carlos Gracie. Under his leadership since 2014, Academia ONO has established itself as a premier training destination in the São Paulo area, combining world-class jiu-jitsu instruction with internationally trained professionals.
