Academia SBA Sylvio Behring

Ferreira Behring Jiu-Jitsu is an affiliated academy of the prestigious Sylvio Behring Association (SBA), one of Brazil's most respected BJJ organizations. The academy is led by professors Douglas Ferreira and Cassio Ferreira, who bring the renowned Progressive System of Jiu-Jitsu™ methodology to Tramandaí, Rio Grande do Sul.

The Sylvio Behring Association was founded by Master Sylvio Behring, an 8th degree red and black belt, who developed the Progressive System of Jiu-Jitsu™ in the late 1980s based on teachings from Grand Master Alvaro Barreto. This established methodology emphasizes self-defense, complete psychomotor development, and provides a unified education system that has graduated over 200 black belts worldwide over more than 50 years of history.

Ferreira Behring Jiu-Jitsu is committed to offering quality jiu-jitsu training for all ages, promoting both physical and mental development through martial arts. Their training philosophy focuses on progressive learning from simple to complex techniques, building self-confidence and technical improvement. Programs include jiu-jitsu for children (building discipline and confidence), adults (fitness and self-defense), competitive training, women's self-defense, and specialized classes for resilience and autoconfidence development.
