Founded in 1993 by Romero "Jacaré" Cavalcanti, Fábio Gurgel, and Alexandre Paiva, Alliance is the only academy to have won the IBJJF World Championship title 15 times, with over 300 affiliated schools worldwide and more than 30,000 members globally.

The academy is led by Sandro Spampinato, who implements Alliance's highly effective and proven teaching methodology. The training structure is organized into skill levels including beginner (Basico), intermediate (Intermedio), and advanced (Avanzato) programs, along with dedicated classes for children, women, competition training, private lessons, and No-Gi grappling.
