Audax Flamma Jiu Jitsu is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy located in Anzio, near Rome, Italy. The gym specializes in BJJ, MMA, and Grappling training for students of all ages and skill levels.
The academy is led by Coach Eros Laghigna, a highly qualified instructor holding a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (IBJJF recognized), a black belt in Japanese Ju Jitsu (WJJF), and a degree in Sport Science and Technique with a specialization in combat sports from IUSM. Coach Laghigna trains under the supervision of Master Rogerio Olegario, ensuring students receive authentic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction with a strong lineage.
The team has demonstrated success in competition, with notable achievements including Chiara Tontini's third-place finish at the seventh edition of the Italian Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championship (March 2023), and impressive performances at the Italia Open of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Rome (March 2024), where the team won three gold medals, one silver, and one bronze. The academy places particular emphasis on developing young athletes and encouraging female participation in the sport, with young competitor Mariasole Minotto (born 2009) earning gold in her first competitive experience.
