## Overview

**Name:** Martial Arts Studio Occhi Di Gatto

**Description:** Opened in May 2020 as a martial-arts-focused studio, the gym moved into a permanent facility in January 2022 and now runs yoga, aromatherapy and English-conversation classes alongside its Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program. Head instructor Mayumi Kai, a brown belt with 22 years of BJJ experience, founded and leads the dojo. Since 2025 the BJJ program has been JBJJF-affiliated, with belt promotions endorsed by JBJJF chairman and Paraestra representative Yuki Nakai. Beyond the main Oita studio, the gym runs a weekly Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class at a Beppu branch and an occasional monthly session at a Nakatsu venue.
