**Name:** 2 Brothers BFC - North America

**Description:** 2 Brothers BFC was founded in 1995 in Brazil (Brasília) by brothers Júlio César da Silva Lima (known as "Pudim") and Sandro da Silva Lima (known as "Bala"). Both are students of Master Banni Cavalcanti, who was a student of the legendary Master Carlson Gracie. This is the 2 Brothers BFC lineage. As students of Master Banni Cavalcanti, they represented Banni Fight Combat (BFC) numerous times in jiu-jitsu championships and in true vale-tudo battles, during the era when fighters competed without gloves.

The two brothers grew up together in a family of fighters, a large family full of warriors. In 1999, Júlio traveled to Hawaii to meet his friend and training partner Marcelo Tigre, where he spent a significant period and even taught classes at Team Tiger Academy. Upon his return to Brazil, it was Sandro's turn to emigrate to Portugal in search of a better quality of life, with Júlio remaining to lead the team in Brasília. In 2000, in Costa de Caparica, Sandro opened an academy and formed a true army, becoming one of the main responsible parties for spreading Jiu-Jitsu in Portugal. The lives of the two brothers were divided between Portugal and Brazil, teaching and influencing generations of students.

Today, the team continues to grow and is spread around the world with over 20 years of dedication to teaching Jiu-Jitsu. The Guadalajara, Mexico location is led by the 2 Brothers BFC team, offering authentic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training with the traditional lineage from Carlson Gracie through Banni Cavalcanti. The academy maintains the philosophy of "Loyalty makes you family" and welcomes practitioners of all levels.

### Júlio César da Silva Lima - Black

**Role:** Head Instructor

**Bio:** Começou na luta aos 13 anos no judô por influência do pai. Treinou capoeira, boxe tailandês e luta livre. Conheceu o Jiu-Jitsu com Mestre Guarnair e continuou com Mestre Banni Cavalcanti através do Mestre Euclides Pereira. Co-fundador da 2 Brothers BFC em 1995 juntamente com seu irmão Sandro Bala. Treinou no Hawaii na Team Tiger Academy com Marcelo Tigre.


### Sandro da Silva Lima - Black

**Role:** Head Instructor

**Bio:** Interesse pelas artes marciais começou na infância, inspirado pelo pai e irmãos. Treinou judô, capoeira, luta livre e boxe tailandês da infância à adolescência. Aos 17 anos teve primeiro contato com Jiu-Jitsu com Mestre Guarnair. Em 1995 conheceu Mestre Banni Cavalcanti. Em 1999 emigrou para Portugal e em 2000 abriu academia na Costa da Caparica, tornando-se um dos grandes responsáveis pela divulgação do Jiu-Jitsu em Portugal. Co-fundador da 2 Brothers BFC.
