2 Brothers BFC - Monte Da Caparica

2 Brothers BFC was founded in 1995 in Brasília, Brazil by brothers Júlio "Pudim" César da Silva Lima and Sandro "Bala" da Silva Lima. Both brothers trained under Mestre Banni Cavalcanti, who himself was a student of the legendary Mestre Carlson Gracie. This lineage traces back through Mitsuyo Maeda, Carlos Gracie, Hélio Gracie, and Carlson Gracie to Ricardo Delariva, Iliarde Santos, and finally to the 2 Brothers BFC founders.

The team has grown from its Brazilian roots to establish a global presence with academies across four continents. In 2000, Sandro Bala moved to Costa da Caparica, Portugal and opened an academy that became instrumental in spreading Jiu-Jitsu throughout Portugal. The Monte da Caparica location continues this tradition of excellence in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction.

Both founders come from a family of martial artists, training in judo, capoeira, luta livre (wrestling), and Muay Thai before dedicating themselves fully to Jiu-Jitsu under Mestre Banni Cavalcanti in 1995. Today, with over 20 years of dedication to teaching, 2 Brothers BFC has locations in Brazil, Portugal, México, Angola, and Belgium, maintaining their philosophy: "Loyalty makes you family."
