DREAM ART Rugby is located at the 'Manor Farm' development in the South of Rugby town, all within 10 minutes drive of Hillmorton, Houlton, and Daventry. Situated in a brand new state of the art facility and occupying the ground floor, the gym offers over 120m square of purpose built sprung floor matted training area with plenty of free parking and accessibility for all.
Part of the DREAM ART team, the academy has a strong focus on competition for future generations and maintains strong moral and community values, helping those who can improve their lives through Jiu-Jitsu. The gym offers world class BJJ and self-defence instruction in Rugby, with programmes for all ages from 4 years and up. Students compete at the highest levels both nationally and internationally, while newcomers are welcomed into a supportive environment focused on fundamentals and personal growth.
The academy is led by Professor David Wosman (black belt), who began his martial arts journey at age 8 with Judo and also trained to a high level in Wing Chun Kung Fu. After completing a BSc in Sport & Exercise Science at the University of Birmingham and a PGCE in Secondary Physical Education, he discovered Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the Chris Rees Academy in South Wales. He later trained at Gracie Barra Nottingham and competed successfully until purple belt, winning medals at the British Open Gi and No Gi, English Open, Welsh Open and others before focusing full-time on teaching and earning his black belt. The coaching team also includes Dave Thomas (No-Gi Coach), Rob Madden (Kids & Adults Coach), Haris Wosman (Little Kids & Competition Kids Coach), Sienna (Little Kids Coach), Tom Secher (Coach), Paul Barton (No-Gi Coach), and Yasmin Wosman (Owner/Communications Manager).
