AEON Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a London-based academy established to cultivate and nurture recreational, amateur, and professional athletes on their quest for excellence in all areas of life. The name 'Aeon' comes from Greek and Latin, meaning an immeasurable period of time and representing a class of powers created to perform various functions in the universe. At AEON, everyone is equal and the academy is only as strong as each member, regardless of level, age, or social status. What sets AEON apart from other clubs is the focus on the psychological aspect of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The academy believes that a strong mindset is just as important as a strong body. The training environment has been created to support and nurture everyone equally, with core values centered on creating a safe space where everyone is accepted, loved, and viewed as integral to the growth of the club. The academy is led with integrity, respect, and strength, emphasizing evolution and continuous improvement both on and off the mats. Head coach Eamonn Madden holds black belts in both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo. He is also a director of two organizations: one working with corporations and Olympic athletes to improve business results, and Inspirational Youth, a social enterprise working with at-risk young people. The coaching team also includes Tariq (black belt BJJ), Dee (brown belt BJJ with competition experience including gold at the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam 2018), and Mel (blue belt, wellbeing officer). The academy offers programs for both adults and youth (ages 5+), with classes ranging from fundamentals to advanced levels in both gi and no-gi formats.
