Owner / Head Coach Jason Greer has studied Martial Arts since the age of 8 eventually taking over the gym he grew up training in under Eddie Wilcoxen. Jason is a 3rd Dan Black Belt in Shotokan Karate and grew up under the influence of Martial Arts Legends such as Joe Lewis and Bill “Superfoot” Wallace. In the mid 90’s Jason found the love for Jiu-jitsu through a training partner who had earned his Blue Belt from Royce Gracie. After taking over Wilcoxen’s Academy in 2007 Jason fell in love with the 10th Planet System from life-long friend and training partner Derek Stewart of 10th Planet Omaha eventually changing the name to SIMS Martial Arts.

SIMS Martial Arts in Altus Oklahoma is the proud home of 10th Planet Jiu-jitsu Altus. SIMS Martial Arts, formerly known as Wilcoxen’s Academy, has been a staple in the Altus Community for over 35 years!! 10th Planet Altus is not only the only affiliated Jiu-jitsu gym in Altus, OK but the first 10th Planet Affiliate in the State! SIMS Martial Arts/10th Planet Altus has a family friendly team environment offering a large assortment of classes whether your goal is to lose weight, learn self-defense, or step into the cage we have a class for you! SIMS offers training partners with experience such as an EBI 3 Competitor, Gracie Worlds veterans, numerous Expert and Pro wins in Jiu-jitsu, OK State MMA Title Holders, a 3rd Dan Judo practitioner, and so much more! The Coaches at SIMS Martial Arts/10th Planet Altus strive everyday to produce an environment that, whatever the age or experience level, you can take your game to the next level!
