# Breakdown Academy > United States ## Overview **Name:** Breakdown Academy **Description:** We offer both beginner and advanced curriculums for Jiu Jitsu Gi training. The beginners classes in the Gi are the best way to quickly become familiar with grappling. We place a focus on sport Jiu Jitsu and Judo techniques in the advanced curriculum. The beginner and advanced No-gi curriculum both focus on submission wrestling without the kimono. The beginner classes teach basic wrestling, escapes, submissions and control for competition and self defense. The advanced classes center primarily around high level No-gi and MMA competition training. Our Kids Jiu-Jitsu program at Breakdown Academy is designed for children ages 6–12 and focuses on building confidence, discipline, and coordination in a safe, structured learning environment. Through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, students develop balance, body awareness, problem-solving skills, and positive social interaction while learning to work with and respect their training partners.
