Brian brings over 25 years of grappling experience, starting with wrestling in his youth and transitioning to BJJ in 1998 at Brazilian Top Team Boston. He earned his black belt in July 2008 from Daniel Mirel Gazoni and Joao Amaral. Brian is a decorated competitor with numerous championship titles including multiple Dragon Lairs championships, IBJJF Pan American medals, and recent podium finishes at the 2023 IBJJF Master Worlds in both gi and no-gi divisions. His extensive wrestling coaching background includes positions at Andover High School and Shawsheen Valley Technical High School. The coaching team also includes Hugo Saldanha (black belt), Ivan Sanchez (brown belt), and Alex Hinerman (purple belt, 1 stripe).
