**Name:** Praia Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

**Description:** "Praia" means beach in Portuguese — capturing the essence of our Orange County lifestyle and our connection to the Costa Mesa community. Founded by Professor Thiago Pierre, Praia BJJ was built on a simple belief: martial arts should be for everyone.

What started in 2019 as a small academy has grown into a thriving community of kids, teens, adults, and families. Our students range from 3-year-olds in our Baby Sharks program to experienced competitors training for IBJJF Worlds — and everyone in between.

More than a gym, Praia is a family. We're here to help every student grow in skill, confidence, and character — on and off the mat.
