Bayshore BJJ

Bayshore Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial arts academy with a world class pedigree and a strong family culture. Founded in 2019 by Professor Joe Dockery, the academy focuses on safety, learning, and cultivating skills that benefit students both on and off the mats.

The gym offers comprehensive programs for all ages and skill levels, from Lion Cubs (ages 3-5) to adult BJJ and Muay Thai. The training philosophy emphasizes helping each individual student meet their personal goals in a fun, exciting, and welcoming environment, rather than solely focusing on building competitors.

Professor Joe Dockery, a 1° Black Belt under Master Renzo Gracie, leads the instruction. Joe has been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since 2007 and has trained with some of the most prestigious instructors and competitors in the world. He has competed at the international level, amassing 6 Gold Medals between NOGI Masters Worlds and Pan Americans, including back-to-back Masters 1 Brown Belt Absolute titles at the IBJJF NOGI Pan Ams. The academy has produced multiple Regional and Pan American champions and maintains a reputation for excellence, with four athletes earning medals at the 2025 IBJJF Pan American Championship.
