Chris Hendrick has been training in the martial arts since he was 10 years old. He started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in December of 2008 and only competed 1 time as a beginner before going on to compete many times as a blue belt and competing in the purple belt divisions while still a blue belt. Chris is currently competing expert level on the tournament circuit and participating in super fight matches when invited.

Chris received his blue belt in Gracie Jiu Jitsu in November of 2009. He started his MMA career in 2010, becoming well known throughout the Virginia MMA circuit as “The Black Ninja” because of his recognized use of crafty karate style striking inside the cage. It was also then that he fell in love with No Gi Jiu Jitsu because of its effectiveness in the cage.
Chris was the grappling coach for the MMA Team No Limit out of South Hill, Virginia from 2010 – 2012. He moved to New Jersey in 2012 and started training with 10th Planet Bethlehem under JM Holland and Zach Maslany. At this time he also had an opportunity to teach kick boxing at a local yoga studio which blossomed into him running a full scale martial arts program. In 2019 Chris was awarded his black belt in 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu under JM Holland and Zach Maslany. Chris’ accomplishments include:
