United Martial Arts Training Center (UMA) is a premier martial arts facility in Lubbock, Texas, dedicated to challenging and empowering students through superior teaching of a rigorous curriculum. The coaching staff includes internationally recognized martial artists with extensive competitive experience. Head Coach Yi-Yuan (Ian) Lee has served as the head coach for the U.S.A. Sanda Team since 2007, leading athletes at multiple World Championships and Pan American Championships. Coach Cory Johnson is a Sanda and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt who has competed internationally in Sanda, Kickboxing, MMA, and Jiu-Jitsu, winning multiple national championships. Coach Bruce Wang, a Sanda silver medalist at the 2023 World Wushu Championships and BJJ brown belt, brings elite-level competition experience to the instructional team. Together, they provide comprehensive training for students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to elite competitors.
