JG Academy is a premier Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy network founded by Javier Gomez in 2017, driven by a passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a commitment to spreading the BJJ lifestyle. The Manteca location is part of a growing network of academies throughout Northern California and beyond, with additional locations in Brentwood, Livermore, Tracy, Modesto, Lodi, Los Altos, Meridian (Idaho), and affiliated gyms in Fremont, San Francisco, Houston, and Lincoln.

The academy's vision is to spread the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu lifestyle, create a sense of community through sport, and leave a positive impact through world-class instruction. Training at JG Academy emphasizes technique and leverage over size and strength, making it accessible to practitioners of all ages, sizes, and experience levels. The academy's motto, "Aspire to Inspire," reflects their commitment to building a supportive community where students can develop both their physical skills and mental discipline.

JG Academy offers comprehensive Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu programs including Kids programs (ages 3-7 and 8-15), Fundamentals classes for beginners, Advanced classes for experienced practitioners, and No-Gi grappling classes. The curriculum is designed to build core values in children and adults alike, teaching self-defense, confidence, discipline, and respect. New students are welcome to try classes free for three days before committing to membership, and no prior experience or gi is required to get started.
