The gym is led by Professor Mike Sanford, a BJJ black belt who received his black belt in 2014 under Daniel and Diego Moraes. Professor Sanford has over 20 years of martial arts experience, starting with Boxing and Kempo Karate at age 5, and has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2005 under Master Francisco Mansor (a red belt under Helio Gracie). The coaching staff also includes Professor Ann Sanford, Mississippi's first female BJJ black belt and an active competitor since 2007, along with experienced instructors in striking, kickboxing, and kids programs including Tyler Hill (purple belt), Brandon Davis (brown belt), Dan Triplett (black belt), Monica Medina (brown belt), and legendary MMA fighter Alan Belcher.
