Artista Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a premier academy located in the Green Hills area of Nashville, Tennessee. Founded in 2017, Artista was established to provide the best martial arts learning experience to the Nashville community. The academy puts a strong emphasis on structure with well thought out curriculums, blending high level training with a professional clean environment. Artista operates under 4x World Champion Gui Mendes, one of the most accomplished instructors in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Professor Gui is a hall of fame inductee due to his success in competition and has proved to be one of the best instructors in the world by creating many champions and continuing to innovate jiu-jitsu techniques and systems. This lineage ensures students receive world-class instruction rooted in proven competitive success. The facility features over 2,000 square feet of mat space, showers, a lobby area, and an on-site strength and conditioning facility called NASIO. Head instructor Felix Garcia, a black belt, leads the adult programs including Fundamentals, Advanced, and youth programs for ages 8-13. The coaching staff includes multiple black belts and experienced instructors across all programs, ensuring comprehensive instruction for students of all ages and skill levels.
