The academy is led by Professor Tyler Beckley, a 2nd-degree black belt under Professor Todd Williams, who serves as Head Instructor and Academy Owner. The coaching team includes Coach Amy Beckley (Brown Belt, Adult Instructor and Academy Owner), Coach Sterling Helms (Brown Belt, Adult Instructor), and Coach Rich Toeppe (Black Belt under Professor Tyler Beckley, Adult Instructor). FJJA's vision is to become the premiere Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy within the Midwest and carry the mantle of spreading the art and philosophy of BJJ to help people better themselves.

Monday (4 classes)
Adult BJJ
For adults and young adults aged 16 and older. Classes all include technical warm-ups, skill development, and will be followed by live training. Each instructor teaches in different ways, and we highly encourage all students to attend different classes. Classes are taught in the Jiu-Jitsu gi.
Kids BJJ (7-10)
For kids ages 7-10 years old. Strict focus on fundamentals, defensive skill sets, and understanding how to play Jiu-Jitsu. Both of our kid's programs put a heavy emphasis on character building within kids; discipline, respect, and taking pride in learning and accomplishments. Focus on creating a foundational base of athleticism and teach coordination, foot work, and basic body mechanics.
Kids BJJ (11-15)
For children ages 11-15 years old. Focus on fundamentals with increased difficulty of concepts starting with our older age group. Older students are always required to demonstrate a high level of Jiu-Jitsu, but also in their attention to detail and effort. Focus on improving athleticism through warm-ups, mobility work, and technical skill development.
Adult BJJ

Saturday (2 classes)
Striking
We offer a striking class for members of all ages. These classes are taught by two of our students who also train in MMA. No equipment is necessary to participate, and you do not need to wear or bring a gi for this class.
Open Mats
Sundays are reserved for open mats and other events. Open mats are for both gi and no-gi live rolling (please make sure to bring a Gi).
