Precision Boxing & Mixed Martial Arts has been Poughkeepsie and the Hudson Valley's home for elite Mixed Martial Arts, Boxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai kickboxing, and self-defense classes for over a decade. The gym prides itself on being the largest Boxing & MMA facility in the Hudson Valley, with a 10,000 sq ft facility complete with top-of-the-line equipment, spacious lobby, dedicated workout room, showers and locker rooms. Founded and led by head instructor Brian McLaughlin, a 2nd degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and professional MMA fighter, Precision MMA offers a structured, college-course style curriculum with clear objectives and progressive written programming. Unlike many schools that "wing it," Precision ensures each class reinforces and complements previous lessons in an organized fashion. Brian has trained extensively in Korea, Japan, Brazil, and alongside numerous members of the world-famous Gracie family, and has cornered some of the best fighters in the world including UFC veterans Jim Miller, Mickey Gall, Dan Miller, and Sean Santella. The gym features separate classes for beginners, intermediate, and advanced students to ensure everyone trains at the appropriate level. The facility includes an MMA octagon, full-size boxing ring, professional Muay Thai equipment, crash pads, Dollamur mats (official mat of the US Olympic Team), and strength & conditioning equipment. With programs for kids, adults, fitness enthusiasts, and professional fighters, Precision MMA welcomes students of all backgrounds and skill levels.
