Aftermath BJJ

Aftermath Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a premier martial arts academy in Poway, California, dedicated to empowering the community through quality Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction. Led by Professor Jason Cook, a black belt who earned his rank in August 2020 from his instructor Michael Cusi, the gym has been providing expert instruction since 2015. Professor Jason serves as the Head Instructor and continues to train under Professor Mike, bringing his passion for Jiu Jitsu to students of all ages and skill levels.

The academy offers comprehensive BJJ programs for the entire family, including specialized classes for Mighty Mites (ages 3-5), Kids programs (ages 6-13), and Adult/Teen classes in both Gi and No-Gi formats. Training focuses on building confidence while learning effective self-defense techniques. Professor Jason's favorite submissions are the Guillotine and D'arce chokes, and he brings hands-on coaching, inspirational mentorship, and earnest accountability to help students achieve their goals.

Aftermath BJJ also participates in the Adopt A Cop BJJ program, a nonprofit initiative that provides free training for active duty police officers until they reach blue belt. With a supportive community atmosphere and classes running from early morning through evening on weekdays, Aftermath BJJ welcomes practitioners from novices to experienced belt holders in their journey through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
