His most notable achievement was a bronze medal at the 2008 World Championship as a brown belt. After working in psychology, he moved to the United States in 2009 to teach and compete in jiu jitsu full time. From 2004 to 2009, he taught and trained at Sniper Gym in Lima, Peru.
