About
Adriano Alves Antunes is a second-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with nearly two decades of competitive excellence. Born on January 28, 1988, in Vacaria, Rio Grande do Sul, he began training in late 2006 under Professor Rodrigo Poderoso, progressing through purple belt. He continued under Professor Mário Reis, earning brown and black belts, and received his first-degree black belt from Professor Valdecir Tegoni in 2022.
With over 440 competitions throughout his career, Adriano has established himself as one of Paraná's top competitors. His achievements include three Paraná state championships, eight Copa Paraná and Copa Cascavel titles, South-Brazilian champion (gi and no-gi), 3rd place at the 2024 IBJJF World Championship, 2019 Pan-American champion, Abu Dhabi Grand Slam runner-up, 2023 Copa Pódio champion, and multiple CBJJ Open and AJP titles.
In 2025, Adriano was honored with the "Osmar Xiquinho Zimmermann" Medal of Sports Honor by the Cascavel Municipal Chamber in recognition of his contributions to martial arts and athlete development. He currently leads CT Open VT Team in Cascavel, Paraná, as part of the VT Team organization under Professor Valdecir Tegoni.
