# Cícero Costha ("Cição")

>

## Overview

**Name:** Cícero Costha

**Nickname:** Cição

## Bio

A humble start in Ipiranga, São Paulo, led Cícero Costha to Rocian Gracie for his formative years, earning his brown belt before seeking a more competition-driven environment at Marco Barbosa’s academy, where Barbosinha promoted him to black belt. A featherweight who tested himself in open-weight MMA against names like Gabriel Gonzaga, Costha built his competitive reputation on the regional circuit. His lasting mark, however, is the social project Projeto Social Lutando Pelo Bem, which channels jiu-jitsu into purpose and citizenship for impoverished youth, cementing his legacy as a community builder rather than a tournament star.
