Jorge Britto was born on December 13, 1979 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He began training BJJ at age 13 under Fernando 'Nutri-Baby' Silva, a black belt under Carlson Gracie. He was promoted to black belt on February 12, 2005. Britto moved to Canada in 2008 and founded the Jiu-Jitsu For Life Team in October 2016 with Josh Rapport. He has studied with Helio Gracie, Saulo Ribeiro, and Royler Gracie.
