## Bio

A product of the Cicero Costha talent mill in São Paulo, Pedro Veras emerged from the PSLPB system with the same relentless, berimbolo-heavy guard game that defined the Miyao brothers, whom he idolized as a teenager. Starting his martial arts journey with judo at age five and cycling through capoeira, karate, and muay Thai, he finally committed to jiu-jitsu in his mid-teens after a friend dragged him to class. After moving from Florianópolis to train under Cicero Costha in 2013, Veras earned his black belt in July 2019, later splitting time between Unity JJ in New York with Murilo Santana and Fernando Zulick’s Action Reaction MMA in Canada, where his competitive profile on the North American circuit grew significantly.
