## Bio

Santeri Lilius is a Finnish Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and the co-founder of **LiliusBarnatt Martial Arts** in Spain. A former junior national ice hockey player, he transitioned to martial arts at 15, first through Karate and then MMA. After a sparring injury led him to focus exclusively on grappling, he began his dedicated BJJ journey in 2008. His commitment to the art saw him train under various instructors, culminating in the prestigious honor of receiving his black belt from the legendary **Roger Gracie** in 2015.

A graduate of the Sports Institute of Finland, Santeri moved to the south of Spain to pursue a full-time coaching career. There, he partnered with UFC veteran **Luke Barnatt** to establish their highly-regarded academy in Torremolinos, Costa Del Sol. As a respected competitor and instructor, Lilius has built a thriving BJJ community and continues to share his passion for the sport.
