## Bio

Tainan Dalpra arrived at the Mendes Brothers’ AOJ in Costa Mesa at age 14, one of the first products of the Believe And Achieve scholarship program that turned raw talent into champions. A Florianópolis native who started at five under his father Deivid Soares and later trained under Everson Ávila and Carlos Dorado, Dalpra built a dominant colored-belt résumé that culminated in an October 2020 promotion to black belt by Guilherme Mendes—while standing on the podium of the IBJJF Pan American Championship. His signature game blends methodical pressure passing with a relentless, competition-tested pace, and he quickly established himself as a top contender in the lightweight division.
