## Bio

A key CBJJE world champion who found his stride late in purple, Wilson Bueno turned a national-level gold into a professional career. Born in June 1993 in Santo André, he started in judo at age 7 before a friend steered him to jiu-jitsu. Eduardo Severiano gave him his blue belt, Douglas Yassuda promoted him to purple, and Fábio Chemik oversaw his rise to brown and finally black on December 18, 2018. After that purple belt Mundial win, Bueno committed fully to competition, making his first international push in 2023 with encouraging results that fueled further campaigns in the USA and Europe.
