Avalanche

Avalanche / Atos Jiu Jitsu is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy located in the São João Clímaco neighborhood of São Paulo, SP. As an official affiliate of Atos Jiu-Jitsu, one of the world's most successful competition teams, the academy brings elite-level training to the local community.

The academy is led by Professor Douglas Toyoshi Ono, a dedicated black belt instructor with extensive experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Professor Ono also runs Academia Ono, which offers both traditional Jiu-Jitsu and functional training programs. His commitment to quality instruction is reflected in his educational background, including degrees in Physical Education from Methodist University of São Paulo and a Sandwich degree in Sports Science from the University of Coimbra, Portugal.

As part of the Atos Jiu-Jitsu network, founded by the legendary André Galvão and Ramon Lemos, students at Avalanche benefit from a proven training methodology that has produced multiple world champions. The Atos system emphasizes technical precision, strategic thinking, and competitive excellence while maintaining a supportive training environment for practitioners of all levels.
