The academy operates on a 12-week systematic training cycle, where each week focuses on a specific theme that connects with the previous week's content. This structured approach allows students to develop a sustained understanding supported by key concepts that will accompany them throughout their jiu-jitsu journey. The program is cyclical, returning to the beginning after covering all content, which allows beginners to learn and understand true jiu-jitsu regardless of when they start.
Led by head instructor Fabricio Martins (nicknamed "Spy"), a 3rd degree black belt from Rio de Janeiro, ATMA offers a democratic space for sharing knowledge, experiences, and respect. Fabricio is a lawyer by profession and an internationally ranked jiu-jitsu competitor, trainer, and IBJJF-certified referee. The academy welcomes everyone—children, teenagers, adults, beginners, and competitors—providing a space where all can evolve without distinction of gender, origin, culture, or belief.
