Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Team Bern

BJJ Team Bern Karkará is a non-profit club based in the heart of Bern, Switzerland, training on 170 m² of mats. Founded in 2015 by Hércules Da Silva (Black Belt 1st Degree), the gym was re-established as a member-run association in 2023 when a dedicated group of students came together to continue their BJJ journey. The team now trains under Prof. Robson "Robinho" Dantas, a 5th degree black belt under Prof. Jair Lourenço Medeiros, with a direct lineage to Mitsuyo Maeda through Carlos Gracie, Carlson Gracie, and André Pederneiras. Prof. Robinho is a two-time World Champion, two-time European Champion, and multiple-time national and international champion, bringing elite-level competition coaching to the team. The gym offers modern and effective Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training for self-defense, competition, MMA, or simply to develop better body awareness. Training programs include Fundamentals Gi, Fundamentals No-Gi, Advanced Gi, Advanced No-Gi, Kids Training (ages 6-12), and private lessons. BJJ Team Bern Karkará is a diverse group of people from various backgrounds united by their passion for Jiu-Jitsu and martial arts. The club maintains a relaxed, respectful atmosphere and welcomes visitors and exchange. Members benefit from a team chat for coordination, spontaneous training sessions, and the ability to contribute at their own pace through the club's democratic structure with voting rights at member meetings.

Art et Mouvement Vermont (AMV) is a martial arts and wellness center in Geneva, Switzerland, founded by Alexandre Rodrigues. The academy offers a multidisciplinary approach combining martial arts tradition with innovative pedagogy, creating a welcoming environment focused on personal development and collective growth. AMV specializes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, and Grappling (No-Gi), with programs designed for all skill levels from beginners to advanced practitioners. Cloud Jiu-Jitsu is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy located in the heart of Lausanne, Switzerland, officially recognized and registered with the IBJJF (International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation). The academy offers a modern training environment with over 400m² spread across two tatami areas, complete with changing rooms, showers, a strength training area, and even a terrace for summer training. Conveniently located near public transportation with free parking available, Cloud Jiu-Jitsu provides everything needed for students to progress comfortably in their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey. The academy is led by head instructor Jameson Da Rocha, a black belt under Kiki Melo, supported by a dedicated team of instructors including Ferdinand Tschanz, Jorge Monteiro, and Sarah Serafim. Cloud Jiu-Jitsu emphasizes building a tight-knit team atmosphere while achieving international competition results. The academy is part of a network of affiliated schools and prides itself on offering quality instruction from qualified professors with a structured curriculum for both children and adults. Cloud Jiu-Jitsu's training philosophy centers on providing comprehensive instruction across all levels, from complete beginners to advanced competitors. The academy offers an extensive schedule with classes available up to 6 days per week and multiple sessions per day, accommodating both midday and evening training preferences. Special beginner classes (initiation courses) are held on Mondays and Wednesdays to ensure new students receive proper foundational training, while all other days offer mixed-level classes. Crossfight Philipp Gloor

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art that focuses primarily on ground fighting. It is practiced either with a gi (kimono) or no-gi (without a kimono), employing a variety of grappling, joint locks, chokes, and throws to force the opponent to submit. Since strikes and kicks are prohibited, the intensity of the sport can be easily controlled by the practitioner. BJJ is well-suited for both beginners and advanced students due to its rapid learning curve. Furthermore, the diverse range of techniques makes it an excellent entry point for anyone interested in MMA. We exclusively train BJJ No-Gi.
