Led by head coach and owner Casey Halstead, a first-degree black belt under Eddie Bravo and Jean Jacques Machado (7th degree red and black belt), 10th Planet Las Vegas has established itself as a world-class training facility. Casey brings over eight years of professional MMA coaching experience and owns multiple 10th Planet affiliates including Costa Mesa, Buena Park, and Orange locations. His impressive coaching resume includes working with elite UFC fighters such as Tony Ferguson (Ultimate Fighter Season 13 Winner), Mark Munoz, Cain Carrizosa, Diego Rivas, Ashlee Evans-Smith, Carla Esparza, and Anthony Birchak. He has also served as a guest instructor on The Ultimate Fighter Latin America for both Team Werdum and Team Gastelum, and currently serves as Event Coordinator and Match Maker for the prestigious Eddie Bravo Invitational.
The coaching staff includes highly skilled instructors across all three locations. At the Henderson location, students train under Casey Halstead alongside black belts Andy Varela and brown belts Mike Lady and Yaz Hajeh. The Central Las Vegas location is led by black belt Jesy Rodriguez and MMA expert Bendy Casimir. The academy offers comprehensive programs for both adults and children, with classes ranging from fundamentals to advanced competition training, including early morning sessions at 6 AM, midday classes, kids programs in the afternoon, and evening adult classes. 10th Planet Las Vegas maintains a strong reputation for developing homegrown MMA talent while welcoming students of all experience levels, from complete beginners to professional fighters seeking elite training for their fight camps.
