9th Isle BJJ is one of the newest affiliates of Cascao Jiu Jitsu, training under Professor Walter Cascao Vital. The gym brings together the Hawaiian values of family (ohana), respect, discipline, hard work, and dedication, fused with the vibrant energy of Las Vegas. Walter Cascao, Brazilian-born, started training Jiu Jitsu in 1991 and has since traveled the world training, competing, and spreading his knowledge as a Pan American Champion and North America Champion. The head instructor, Gaspar "JunBug" Agabin, is a purple belt under Robert Drysdale with over 20 years of martial arts experience. Agabin's impressive competition record includes being the 2007 NAGA West Coast intermediate champion, 2011 IBJJF Las Vegas Open blue belt super heavyweight masters champion, and 2013 IBJJF masters super heavyweight purple belt bronze medalist. He also trained alongside notable fighters including Joe Stevenson, Marc Laimon, Kendall Grove, Jason "Mayhem" Miller, Tito Ortiz, and many others. 9th Isle BJJ specializes in developing a solid base in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, grappling, anti-bullying programs, and self-defense. The gym offers comprehensive programs for both kids and adults, including beginner and advanced gi classes, no-gi submission grappling, striking, and MMA training. A & M Jiu-Jitsu

A&M Jiu-Jitsu in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, embodies a philosophy of "Modern Jiu-Jitsu with an old school work ethic." Founded by Devin and Dru Phoenix in September 2017 after their previous gym closed during the pandemic, they created A&M to keep their martial arts community together. The gym features a spacious mat area designed for both technical training and hard work. The founders bring complementary experience to A&M. Dru Phoenix has trained since 2009 and coached since 2017, while Devin began training in 2020 and continues as a dedicated student. A-F Academy Martial Arts is a family-oriented martial arts studio in Kelowna, British Columbia, focused on building a strong sense of community where members are seen as family. Amreek began training at age 8 and has been a full-time instructor since 2021, with 7 years of part-time kids instruction experience. Amreek holds 2 provincial titles and 1 regional title at brown belt level and has competed 4 times at world championship level. The academy offers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (gi and no-gi), Kickboxing, Women's Only classes, and Self Defence programs for all ages from Little Warriors (ages 3-5) through teens and adults.

Ablaze Hachioji

ABLAZE Hachioji is a beginner-focused martial arts gym located just 2 minutes walk from Hachioji Station North Exit in Tokyo. Founded by head instructor Hiroto Sakuma (known as "Furyo Senpai" or "Bad Boy Senior"), the gym operates under the unique concept of being a "beginner-only gym" where experienced practitioners can only participate in intermediate and advanced classes, ensuring that beginners feel comfortable and supported in their martial arts journey. The gym opened its doors in May and has since built a reputation for creating a welcoming environment for people of all ages (from 3 to 60+) and fitness levels. ABLAZE Hachioji's training philosophy centers on making martial arts accessible to everyone, regardless of background or athletic experience. The gym offers a comprehensive range of programs including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, kickboxing, and no-gi grappling, with specialized classes for kids, women, and different skill levels. The facility features spacious mat areas, professional training equipment including genuine leather heavy bags, separate male and female changing rooms and showers, and maintains high hygiene standards with commercial-grade air purifiers that remove 99.4% of viruses. The gym has also pioneered a "Medical Support" system in partnership with local medical facilities, where members' treatment costs for training-related injuries are covered by the gym. Head instructor Hiroto Sakuma is a BJJ black belt under Masakazu Imanari who began his MMA career at age 31 without any martial arts background and went on to compete professionally in major promotions including GRACHAN, DEEP, and Fighting Nexus. Absolution Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Absolution BJJ, led by Professor Sean Ruiz, a black belt under the legendary Carlson Gracie Jr., brings nearly three decades of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu experience to Riverside, California. Professor Sean is a former MMA fighter, Jiu-Jitsu competitor, and judo black belt who has trained under renowned instructors including Javier Vazquez, Erik Paulson, and Todd Medina. His unique approach blends multiple grappling arts including catch wrestling, Luta Livre, and judo to create a comprehensive Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu curriculum. At Absolution BJJ, the training philosophy prioritizes true fundamentals while challenging advanced practitioners with theoretical depth and less conventional techniques. While the curriculum adapts to focus on either sport or self-defense depending on the room, self-defense remains king. Academia de la Costa is a martial arts academy and grassroots community center based in Cabarete, Dominican Republic. Locally known as The Academy, the organization was founded in 2006 by Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belts Tomas "Papo" Soñé and Joe Neurauter. Their mission is to foster local talents in sports, art, and culture while teaching, inspiring, and empowering economically disadvantaged children and young adults through martial arts. The Academy offers daily Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai classes, as well as private lessons, group workshops, and personal defense training. Through their scholarship programs and "pay what you can" sliding scale fee model, they make martial arts accessible to community members who may have otherwise lacked direction or opportunity. Head instructor Tomas "Papo" Soñé is a third-degree BJJ black belt under the lineage of Mamoro Matsunaga and Abraham Tabar, the father of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in the Dominican Republic. The Academy has trained and mentored numerous local athletes who have gone on to compete internationally, including Alex Garcia (the first Dominican MMA competitor in the UFC), Delvin Reyes, Henry Jiménez, Patrick Mendoza, and Iskania Perez. Academia Deo

Deo Jiu-Jitsu is a respected Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team founded by Mestre Deoclécio Paulo in Brasília during the 1970s. Mestre Deo holds a Red Belt (9th degree), representing the highest level of mastery in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and is considered the fourth in the genealogical tree of BJJ after Mitsuyo Maeda, Luiz França, and Oswaldo Fadda. He began training in the 1940s and was recognized as one of the top competitors at Oswaldo Fadda's academy during his competitive years. After serving in the Brazilian Army and teaching Jiu-Jitsu in various cities throughout Brazil and Chile, Mestre Deoclécio Paulo established the Associação Deo Jiu-Jitsu in Brasília, where it has become one of the most influential academies in the region. In 2015, he was honored with the title of Honorary Citizen of Brasília by the Legislative Chamber of the Federal District in recognition of his immense contributions to Jiu-Jitsu in the capital. The Deo Jiu-Jitsu team operates multiple training locations throughout Brasília, including Asa Norte, Asa Sul, Guará, Águas Claras, Taguatinga, Sobradinho, Planaltina, São Sebastião, and Samambaia Sul. The team is known for its traditional approach to Jiu-Jitsu instruction, emphasizing both technical excellence and the values of discipline and respect. Academia Gorila, meaning "gorilla" in Portuguese, embodies strength and agility combined with a friendly, peaceful approach. Founded in October 2012 in the heart of Warsaw, the gym has grown to become Poland's fastest-developing combat sports club, with multiple branches across the country.
