Ben Gardner is the owner and grappling coach for Dokkodo Martial Arts/10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu Bath, NY.  Ben is a lifelong martial artist and started wrestling at the young age of 4.  He went on to study various traditional martial arts such as aiki-jujutsu, jujutsu, and karate – eventually earning a 2nddegree black belt in karate.  In 2011, Ben began training at 10th Planet Rochester and was immediately hooked.  He competed in various tournaments throughout NY state and the northeast, having success and winning various competitions at different levels along the way.  In 2021 Ben received his Black Belt from Chris Herzog in 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu. Ralf Warneking is Europe’s first 10th Planet black belt under Master Eddie Bravo and the thirteenth black belt within the system. In 2011 Ralf won the IBJJF NoGi World Championship in the Super-Heavy and Open Class brown belt division. As a purple belt, he took first and second place in the Super Heavy and Open Class divisions at the 2009 IBJJF World Championships in Long Beach, California. 11 years of Mastering the System (from white to black belt) at 10th Planet HQ, he returned to Germany to bring the 10th Planet system to Berlin. Now in his fifties, Ralf is Germany’s only 10th Planet black belt. He still competes regularly, recently winning gold in the Masters’ Division at the 2018 NAGA European Championships in Amsterdam.

Eric Longar is a professional Jiu Jitsu athlete with over five years of coaching experience. Originally introduced to Jiu jitsu at Tenth Planet Saint Louis in 2011, he then trained under Professor Bobby Willams Jr (Ricardo Almiada affiliation) where he helped organize Tenth Planet Tokyo’s Hot Box. On his return to the US, Eric trained under Ronin Jiu Jitsu (Gokor Chivichyan affiliation) before he returned to Tenth Planet in Las Vegas. There, he was also coached by Casey Halstead (an Eddie Bravo first degree black belt) who actively works with some of the most experienced and well-respected MMA fighters in the world. He is an active Jiu Jitsu competitor who has competed in Japan and all over the United states, most notably in the Professional Grappling Federation Season One. Taking pride in developing homegrown MMA talents and Jiu Jitsu athletes from day one, he works closely with everyone from students with no Martial Arts experience to athletes at the peak of their careers. 10th Planet Denver head coach Conor Heun got his first taste of combat sports as a five year old stepping onto the wrestling mat in 1984. Nine years later he watched in disbelief as Jiu Jitsu master, Royce Gracie, choked wrestler, Ken Shamrock, into submission at UFC 1. Conor had won numerous state titles in Freestyle and Greco Roman wrestling, competed collegetly at the NCAA tournament, and even traveled to France to compete in the Tour Du Monde world championships. He had racked up over 1000 wins in tournaments around the world yet he couldn’t forget the way Royce Gracie dominated the bigger, stronger wrestler at the first UFC. Determined to learn Jiu Jitsu, Conor studied every Pride and UFC fight he could get his hands on, but it wasn’t until he walked into The Bomb Squad Gym in 2005 and met Eddie Bravo that his life was changed forever. Eddie Bravo had gained notoriety after becoming the first person to submit Royler Gracie at the ADCC championships. Eddie was know for his open minded approach to Jiu Jitsu, taking effective techniques from everywhere and discarding anything that didn’t work, including the use of the traditional gi or kimono favored by the Gracie’s. Eddie saw Conor’s strong wrestling base and nonstop work ethic and took Conor under his wing, believing that he could be the one to introduce the world to the power of the 10th Planet system by competing in MMA.

Eddie Bravo, a 3rd degree black belt under the legendary Brazilian Jiu Jitsu master Jean Jacques Machado, started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in May 1994. He won the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Abu Dhabi North American Trials lightweight division on October 5, 2002, in San Diego, California — earning the “Most Technical Fighter of the Night” award. He then advanced to the 2003 Abu Dhabi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Championships in San Paulo, Brazil, where he secured a submission win over legendary Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighter Royler Gracie. The Abu Dhabi Championship is the most prestigious Brazilian Jiu Jitsu no gi tournament in the world. A historic Brazilian Jiu Jitsu rematch took place 11 years later in Downtown LA Los Angeles between Royler Gracie and Eddie Bravo, resulting in arguably the greatest rematch in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu history with the epic match ending in a technical draw. Since then Eddie Bravo has published 4 books on no gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, released 3 DVDs on no gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and is currently filming his popular Brazilian Jiu Jitsu online web-series Mastering the System. He is also known for his mixed martial arts commentating on the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
