Fabiano Scherner, commonly known as Fabiano "Pega Leve," is a German-Brazilian professional mixed martial artist and 5th degree Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt. Born in Tres Passos, Brazil on June 30, 1972, Scherner began training BJJ in 1999 with Carlson Gracie student Murilo Rupp. He was introduced to Mario Sperry, Murilo Bustamante, and Luis Roberto "Bebeo" Duarte, earning an invitation to train with Brazilian Top Team (BTT). Scherner earned his black belt in just three years and nine months. He has competed professionally in MMA for the UFC, Cage Rage, and IFL, while also achieving world-class success in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition.
