About

Felipe Bezerra is a world-renowned Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo black belt from Natal, Brazil. Born on June 11, 1991, Felipe made history as the first Brazilian to win both the Professional and M1 world titles in the same championship edition. He is a two-time World Champion of Professional Jiu-Jitsu and has competed at the highest levels of the sport including IBJJF World Championships, Abu Dhabi Grand Slam events, Continental Pro South America, and various other prestigious competitions.

Felipe began his jiu-jitsu journey at age 14 under the guidance of Bruno Barreto at the Checkmat - RN academy in Natal. Barreto guided him through all belts, awarding him his black belt in December 2016. Felipe is one of the few elite athletes to compete in both BJJ and Judo at the highest levels, conquering numerous medals at the Judo Nationals as well as IBJJF World and Pan American titles.

In 2016, Felipe founded ROXBJJ (Rox Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu), his own training center in Natal, where he serves as CEO, head coach, and continues to train as an athlete. His competition record includes 18 wins and 13 losses across 31 documented matches, primarily competing in the Super Heavyweight and Ultra Heavyweight divisions. His most recent documented match was in August 2024 at ADXC 5, which he won by decision against Vladimir Lium.
