Fit Sid Jacintho Brasil is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy founded and led by Professor Sid Jacintho de Oliveira Junior, a highly experienced black belt with over 30 years in the martial arts. Originally from Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Sid Jacintho began training in 1991 and received his black belt on July 13, 2002, under the guidance of Master Fabricio Martins and Oswaldo Alves, following the lineage of Mitsuyo Maeda, Carlos Gracie, Hélio Gracie, Rolls Gracie, and Oswaldo Alves. Professor Sid Jacintho competed in the world's most prestigious BJJ tournaments, earning third place at the 2006 World Black Belt Championship. In 2007, he relocated to Abu Dhabi, UAE, where he served as Head of Rules from 2007 to 2014 and taught the UAE Armed Forces, police, and VIPs. He returned to competition in 2014, winning both his division and the open weight category at the Dubai Open Masters. In 2013, Sid returned to Master Fabricio Martins International Team (FIT Team), continuing his legacy of developing world-class practitioners. Sid Jacintho's teaching philosophy emphasizes respect, individual development, and building better human beings through jiu-jitsu. His academy aims to create an environment where students feel at home, focusing on quality instruction where anyone can learn. Over his career, Professor Sid has promoted numerous black belts, including notable practitioners like Faisal Al Ketbi (UAE), Raphael Vilarinho "Odorico" (3rd degree), João Marcelo "Joca" (3rd degree), Leonardo Abreu "Bileo" (2nd degree), and Tatiana Neves Haritoff de Oliveira. His influence extends globally, with affiliated academies in Italy (BJJ Trento under Leandro dos Santos Bastos) and Brazil (BJJ Bileo Team in Cabo Frio under Leonardo Abreu "Bileo"). The academy's motto reflects its commitment: "Jiu-Jitsu is not violence. Practice that idea."
