Ares BJJ Brasil

The Ares Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Association was created by a group of friends who value friendships and principles before business. Founded by four experienced black belts - Alan Moraes (4th degree), Milton Bastos (3rd degree), Samir Chantre (3rd degree), and Osvaldo "Queixinho" (3rd degree) - the association started with approximately 17 affiliations around the globe and continues to grow. Each founder brings over 20 years of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu experience to the organization.

Ares BJJ's mission is to be one family with worldwide ties that bring Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to the next level and change lives. The association emphasizes that at the end of the journey, friends and family are what matter most, not business relationships that end when interest is gone. They pride themselves on creating a supportive community free from the politics that often plague martial arts organizations.

The headquarters is located at Ares BJJ Brasil in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, where Alan Moraes serves as the Head Coach. The association welcomes gyms focused on competition training as well as those emphasizing self-defense and fitness. With decades of combined experience, the founding instructors are committed to helping members reach their goals and achieve success in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts, and Self-Defense through world-class instruction.
