Esprit Vif 93 is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy based in Dugny, France, affiliated with the prestigious Checkmat team founded by the Vieira brothers. The association was created following the 2005 riots as a positive community initiative, bringing world-class BJJ training to the Seine-Saint-Denis area. Led by head instructor Yacine Rahmani, a third-degree black belt under Ricardo Vieira and the official Checkmat representative in France, Esprit Vif 93 has established itself as one of the premier BJJ academies in the Paris region. Yacine is a highly accomplished competitor with three world championship titles and numerous IBJJF medals, including European Championship gold in 2011 and World Championship victories. The academy offers comprehensive BJJ programs for both children (ages 4-14) and adults, with classes focused on fundamental techniques, competition training, and physical fitness.
