After 20 years of experience, Jean-Louis felt the desire to pass on his knowledge and teach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). In the early 2000s, France had no BJJ federation. Thus, in 2004, he joined Belmond Moukoudi, founder of Master Paul Mills' AKKI Kenpo Academy, and became a co-founder. The following year, Jean-Louis MBongo officially created the MB Academy, which was the first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school in France. The academy is now recognized by the [IBJJF](https://ibjjf.com/) federation .
