Ciro Zalcberg BJJ Academy is led by Professor Ciro Zalcberg, a 5th degree black belt with over 30 years of experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Professor Ciro had the privilege of learning directly under Grand Master Flavio Behring, a respected 9-stripe red belt who was himself taught by the legendary Helio Gracie, the father of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The academy offers technical training focused on both self-defense and competition techniques, suitable for practitioners of all levels. Classes emphasize the core principles of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: ground fighting, utilizing submissions and positional control to overcome opponents of greater size and strength. The academy operates two locations in Israel - one in Raanana (Ahuza St 117) and another in Rishon LeZion (Jabotinsky St 16). Classes are available for both adults and children, with dedicated kids programs that teach discipline, respect, and fundamental BJJ techniques in fun and engaging ways.
