Dedeco Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a premier family-oriented BJJ academy in Weymouth and Pembroke, Massachusetts, serving the South Shore area since 2004. Founded by 6th Degree Black Belt Andre "Dedeco" Almeida, the academy is built on the motto "Fighting As A Family" and promotes a culture of mutual respect, support, and growth. With over 8,000 square feet of mat space at the Weymouth location, the academy offers extensive training facilities including a dedicated fitness area with Rogue equipment, turf area, and half basketball court. The welcoming, ego-free environment has created a tight-knit community where advanced belts help beginners learn and grow together. Andre "Dedeco" Almeida began training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 1986 in his hometown of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As a 6th Degree Black Belt under pioneer Ricardo Liborio, Dedeco has dominated competitive arenas in both Brazil and America, earning numerous championships at the highest levels. Known as "The Maker of Champions," he formed his own school and association in 1996, developing a world-class stable of competitors, MMA athletes, and students across all ages and backgrounds. Beyond his BJJ expertise, Dedeco is also the co-founder of Origin USA, an American-made BJJ apparel company that has revolutionized the gi industry and become an industry leader. The academy offers comprehensive programs for all ages and skill levels, including classes for Little Ones (ages 3-4), Kids (ages 5-8), Teens (ages 9-13), and Adults (14+). Both Gi and No-Gi training are available, with specialized classes including Fundamentals, Advanced, Competition, Women's Only, and free Law Enforcement classes twice per week. The experienced coaching staff, including instructors John, Rich, Danny, Fabio, Janelle, and Joe, are dedicated to providing top-quality, traditional Jiu-Jitsu training in a safe and supportive environment. Private lessons are available with black belt instructors, and the academy maintains an on-site pro shop stocked with Origin Gis, JockoFuel supplements, and DD'nCo lifestyle apparel.
