It means committing fully to the technique, the movement, or the submission. You either do it, or you don’t. There’s no middle ground. When we “try,” we leave room for doubt and uncertainty. We’re not fully committed to the outcome, and we’re not giving our best effort. But when we “roll,” we’re fully present in the moment, and we’re giving it our all. So, when Master Yoda says “roll or roll not,” he’s telling us to take action with full commitment and without hesitation. To approach every task with focus, determination, and clarity of purpose.
