Dedeco BJJ Brasil
Dedeco Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a premier family-oriented BJJ academy with two locations in Massachusetts: Weymouth and Pembroke. Founded by Andre "Dedeco" Almeida, a 6th Degree Black Belt under pioneer Ricardo Liborio, the academy has been serving the South Shore area since 2004. Known as "The Maker of Champions," Dedeco brings traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu expertise from Rio de Janeiro to New England. The Dedeco BJJ motto is "Fighting as a Family," practiced daily through a culture of encouragement, support, and mutual growth. Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1973, Dedeco started training Jiu-Jitsu in 1987 at age 14. After establishing a premiere team and school in Brazil in 1996, he moved to America in 2004 and created a dominant team with affiliate schools across multiple states and overseas. Beyond teaching, Dedeco is also the co-founder of Origin USA, a company focused on American-made BJJ products that has become an industry leader. The academy offers comprehensive programs for all ages and skill levels, including Little Ones BJJ (ages 3-4), Kids BJJ (ages 5-8), Teens (ages 9-13), Adults (14+), Women's Only classes, Competition Training, and private lessons. The Weymouth facility features over 8,000 square feet of mat space across two floors, a fitness area with Rogue equipment, turf area, half basketball court, and a pro shop. The Pembroke location offers approximately 1,500 square feet of mat space with flexible scheduling and optimal student-to-instructor ratios. Both locations provide Gi and No-Gi classes, with Weymouth open 7 days a week and Pembroke operating Monday through Saturday.
