Speaker 1: What's up, everybody? Welcome back to the Flow Grappling Show, aka the worst show on the internet. As always, I'm Trey Robinson. We got Big Uncle Reed right here, and Daddy Slack Barrett, he's behind the camera. You know, he's on the ones and twos for real this time, switching it around, getting the mics all level, getting the production going, because, you know, they kicked us out of the studio. Speaker 2: Yeah, a little little new setup here. Speaker 1: Yeah, so, you know, to give you guys a peek behind the curtains. I know you guys like to know what's going on with us, what's going on with the company and everything. Flow's in the process of switching offices right now for 2026, and our studio got taken away. So, you know, now we're in an undisclosed living room. We got we got little ham back here. Speaker 2: We got ham holding it down with us too. Speaker 1: Give us a big prediction for 2026 grappling. Perfect. Speaker 2: Yep. Speaker 1: Nailed it. Exactly. I agree, Ham. But yeah, um, so a little more casual. We're just in in, you know, a living room talking. Speaker 2: Yeah, let us know what you think about the digs though, you know, we got got some new studio kicking. We got, you know, we can make some some uh adjustments and stuff like that. So let us know what you think of the new setup. Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure. But I think today we're going to kind of dive into just some uh a little bit of the news of what's going out going down in Jiu-Jitsu. Obviously, this is kind of like a downtime, I feel like. There's not a big downtime in grappling, but it's kind of like this little window around Christmas and New Year's before Euros kicks back up. Speaker 2: Yeah, it's kind of like our unofficial off season a little bit here this time. Feels like everybody's kind of training a little bit less, everybody's eating more, getting out of shape a little bit, you know, only going to the gym once once or twice a week a little bit. Speaker 1: Yeah, this is my dirty bulk season, as I like to call it, you know. Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's where I really put on some size, you know. Speaker 1: For real. Just so I can trim back down in time for the ghee season. If there's a time you want to be a little chunky, it's when you're training in the ghee. You don't want to be training nogi and, you know, be a little chunky, putting on that rash guard, you know, bumping up to an XL, and now it's still a little tight, you know, but um, but yeah, we'll round up some news and then I think we're going to talk about what we think could be going down in 2026, that could be some cool stuff for the Jiu-Jitsu world. But just kind of to kick off some of the news. Not to start it off on too much of like a bummer of a note, but I think it's something that we kind of need to talk about just because, you know, we don't want to ignore it and everything. But um, if you guys are I'm sure you're probably hip to this, but Hannah Griffith just kind of made a post outlining some of this stuff that everyone's been hearing rumors about. There's been a lot of rumors going on about Isaac Michelle and his exit from Kingsway and everything going on. Um, and Hannah just kind of made a post outlining a sexual assault situation with Isaac Michelle. Definitely not ideal, not a good thing. It's kind of a bummer to be honest that this seems to be such a recurring thing in the Jiu-Jitsu world. Like it feels like we're just kind of on like a like time is a flat circle thing where just every so often some big sexual assault thing kind of drops in the Jiu-Jitsu world. And to be honest, if I'm being, you know, candid, that's a little bit of one of the parts of the Jiu-Jitsu world that bumps me out. Kind of bumps me out to be a part of a community that has that much sexual kind of deviancy going on and everything. But so yeah, I don't know. Not a good situation. Speaker 2: Yeah, big bummer, of course, uh, but, you know, happy to hear that it's being handled kind of the the appropriate way. It sounds like John and and Gordon from Kingsway and and Craig too have been, you know, kind of on it from from from Jump Street and have been kind of handling this situation. Obviously, not some not a situation anybody wants to handle and go through. Um, you know, and just hope that all the the victims are are, you know, going to be able come out of this okay and everything like that. And hopefully, you know, some good can come out of it and and hopefully this like you said, this is something that kind of we need to address in the in the Jiu-Jitsu community as a as a whole really, to be honest, just because this type of thing has been a little bit more um recurring in in the Jiu-Jitsu world over these last um several years. You know, it's probably been going on for a longer than that, but it seems like it's Speaker 1: Getting brought to the light more. Speaker 2: Yeah, getting getting brought to the light a lot more and and um, you know, obviously if there's anything that that you're experiencing or anything like that, there are resources for you to to check out and stuff like that. Safe Austin is is one here here in Texas. Um, but uh yeah, just just not a great thing and something that we've uh as as a Jiu-Jitsu community as a whole kind of really need to stamp out and really tell everybody that this we genuinely have a zero tolerance policy for this type of thing. Jiu-Jitsu is for everyone. That's that's what one of the things I love about Jiu-Jitsu, whether you're 80 years old, whether you're five years old, you can train Jiu-Jitsu. Jiu-Jitsu is for Speaker 1: It's like whenever you're trying to get someone to train, they're like, oh, I just don't think it's really for me. It's like, no, bro, it is for you. You just don't realize that yet. It's like every single person can do it. So. Speaker 2: Jiu-Jitsu is for everybody. It's inclusive. It's one of the greatest communities I've ever been a part of. It's it's a a global community. I've met some incredible people and got to travel the world and things like that. Jiu-Jitsu is incredible. Um, but uh, you know, obviously there there are some some things that just happen in this in in in what we're doing here. Jiu-Jitsu, it's a very close contact sport and stuff like that. So, you know, hopefully we can kind of get that figured out in in 2026 and beyond because um, you know, like I said, it's just Jiu-Jitsu's a a great thing for for everybody and we want to show it off in its most positive light and it's hard to do that when when people are uh, you know, we have bad people in the in the community doing doing bad things. It's not good. Speaker 1: 100%. And obviously, there's like a lot of a lot of stuff going around about this situation. To be honest, I'm not like super um, I don't I don't want to like just speak on rumors and things we hear. Obviously, we hear a lot of stuff and everything. So it's kind of more of like a, you know, I'm I'm more interested in like when legitimate stuff comes out and like Hannah made this, you know, post and kind of clarified some things. So it's kind of like, all right, I I'm down to talk about that, but it's like, I don't want to like dive into like, oh, I'm hearing this and I'm hearing that. There's like I feel like there's just a lot of rumor stuff getting dropped and I'm seeing these articles all the time now coming out and I'm like, man, I don't know. It's like, people don't know for sure. So, I guess I'm saying that to say like, I'm not going to dive into like this crazy rumor mill. Speaker 2: A lot of a lot of rumors going around, of course, and just being a flow grappling, a lot of rumors come across your desk every every day, you know, and and stuff like that. But uh, um, you know, good to see Hannah kind of come out and and kind of clear some things uh and whatnot, you know, but yeah, again, just, you know, hope she's she's okay and still training. She had an incredible performance at the uh Nogi World Championships, which was just maybe uh, I don't know, you know, very close proximity to when it all happened, it it sounds like. So, um, you know, can't wait to see her kind of flourish continually in in Jiu-Jitsu and and like I said, just happy that that John and Kingsway crew really took this as as seriously as as it needed to be to be taken. So, shout out to those guys and and everybody for for, you know, trying to make these these mats a a safe place. That's uh that's what we all deserve is for the mats to be a safe place. Speaker 1: Definitely. And kind of, you know, to to keep it moving, so it's not that's not the only thing we're talking about. Obviously, the Flow Grappling Awards is going on right now. Voting's going on. You know, shout out all the fans of Jiu-Jitsu out there. Everybody casting their vote. We've been getting tons of votes. I feel like we're kind of like almost double the amount of votes as last year uh in some categories. So, things are heating up though. The race is close for some of these. I think right now, the closest vote, I believe is with the breakout grappler of the year category. Speaker 2: A lot of good nominees in that category. Speaker 1: I think there's like uh was there three or four of the nominees who are like within like just Speaker 2: A couple percent of each other. Speaker 1: Yeah, a couple percent. So, um, you know, if you have an athlete that you want to make sure gets gets the win in this one, like go vote right now. Like, this one is close, especially breakout. Speaker 2: Vote as many times as you want too. Speaker 1: Yeah, just let it rip, dude. Post it on your Instagram, post it on your mom's Facebook, get your grandma to vote, you know, send a letter to someone who might not be have access to the internet, give them the instructions needed to get access to the internet and then tell them to vote for the Flow Grappling Awards. Let's run this one up, you know. Speaker 2: Another one of the uh the categories that I was surprised to see really go off, you know, and it's maybe our kind of like most popular category is that juvenile Speaker 1: That's crazy, huh? Speaker 2: Of of the year. Speaker 1: I didn't see it coming. Speaker 2: Yeah, which is kind of a new category for us. We've done it in the past, but uh uh I don't think we did it last year. And um, you know, obviously there's so much talent coming out there from from these younger ranks. Felt like we needed to bring that one back and uh it's a it's a popular category. Everybody's got a opinion on who the juvenile of the year is. Is it John Anderson, is it Iro, Daniel 20, you know, a bunch of good guys in there. Speaker 1: I was skeptical at first. I was like, all right, are we really going to dive into the juvenile thing? I feel obviously, I know the juvenile Jiu-Jitsu scene is blowing up right now. Like if you're watching juveniles at ADCC Open or the ADCC the Youth World Championship, even IBJJF juvenile stuff, it's like, there's incredible Jiu-Jitsu going on in uh the juvenile categories. But it's also just like, it's a rabbit hole, you know. You start diving into some of this. I know a lot of people are saying JP Tran should have been nominated. Maybe we missed the mark there. Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. Shout out shout out JP Tran. He had an absolutely stellar year, incredible year and and, you know, the future is extremely bright for JP. You know, it's sometimes it's it's hard for us to to really narrow it down to to just six six uh members. We opened it up. We used to do five uh nominees and we had to open it up to six and thinking about opening up to seven. Speaker 1: Yeah, I know. And then probably 10 and then, you know. And then maybe we just might list every possible grappler and just just have an open ballot. You just have to write the name of the person you think. But um, but it's it's cool to see like so many people. I think there might be like double the amount of juvenile votes as like our next biggest category. So it's kind of insane to not just have overall this year the Flow Grappling Awards is bigger than ever, but now to have the reintroduce the juvenile category and everyone is voting on that. There's people going onto the form, voting for juvenile and not casting a vote for grappler of the year. That's nuts to me. That there's like so many dedicated juvenile, like I assume it's family and stuff, but, you know, got to be can't just be family. Like uh so it's kind of nuts to see, but so that's a cool one. Uh obviously, male and female grappler of the year, those ones are kind of close as well, so cast your votes there. But feels feels like a a good year. A lot of good uh nominees and everything for for the grappling awards this year. Speaker 2: Definitely, it was a crazy year just having CGI back and that, you know, that kind of mixes everything up. But it was just a great year for the IBJJF, I feel like as well. Um, you know, we just we're just coming off Nogi Worlds and that was such an electric tournament, you know, but you you forget about all the craziness that happened in the ghee season with Adam Wardzinski and the Grand Slam and Tynan killing it, you know, and uh, Joel Biznaga's, Kyle Terra Anklock from Worlds and stuff. But so much great stuff happened at Euros and Pans and stuff. I you know, it really just gives us a a solid kind of uh, um, season, you know, when you have all this IBJJF stuff going on and then we had a couple uh ADCC trials. Obviously, I'm super amped on ADCC in uh in 2026. I can't wait to go to Poland. I think Poland's going to be incredible from from what I've heard. They've already sold, you know, a ton of tickets and everything like that. So, I think if we go to the the biggest uh venue in Poland, the place is sold out, you know, you got Pavel Dvorcega on the mats, you know, I'm kind of crossing my fingers that Adam Wardzinski will get get on the mats and do some Speaker 1: A little legacy bid, maybe. Speaker 2: Yeah, he's retired from the ghee, but I'm not sure if he's retired from Nogi. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 2: Um, you know, I saw a lot of people great people. Declan Moody had a huge year, you know, in 2025. He's nominated for breakthrough grappler of the year. I think we're really going to see Declan kind of break through. But um, yeah, crazy crazy year. Definitely a lot of ups and and downs, a lot of wild stuff. But um, 2026 should be fun too. Speaker 1: Yeah, I think we'll get into some 2026 uh previews, probably, I mean, here shortly, honestly, because uh another thing I wanted to talk about is one of the big events that's going to be going down early on in 2026. So when 2026 kicks off, we got a couple big ones. Obviously, we're going to Europe, you know, for to kick off the 2026 grappling year. We'll have IBJJF European Championships, which always honestly one of my favorite events, one of the most fun. Speaker 2: 10-day tournament. Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just I think it's one of their biggest events also when it comes to total participation and everything. Speaker 2: It's got to be Euros and Brazileros are like Speaker 1: Jiu-Jitsu Con might Speaker 2: Oh yeah, true, true, true. Speaker 1: Because they're like doing the double Masters Worlds Jiu-Jitsu Con thing. Um, but Euros is just an epic epic event. It also really kicks off the IBJJF ghee season, you know, so it's always a lot of fun. Everyone's kind of got a good vibe, a good energy going around. So it'll be sick to kick it off with that. I think Speaker 2: Dude, I I love Lisbon. I love Lisbon. It might be my Speaker 1: You never went to Paris for it. Speaker 2: I never went to Paris. It's true. But Lisbon just like might be my favorite place to that we get to go, you know, um, Speaker 1: What do you like about it so much? Speaker 2: I don't know. Dude, it's just like I I like the the time of year we go where it's like winter, to be honest, and it's like cold and you got your jackets on. Who are we here in Texas? I don't get to wear my jackets very often and stuff like that. So, but I just I don't know. I just feel so familiar to it. I think I've been like six or seven times to to the Euros now. So it just feels so familiar, but I just love walking down that Liberdaje street there with the um with the uh the uh cobblestones and stuff like that. Speaker 1: Yeah, it's got like the roundabout with the big statue on one side and then you go Speaker 2: The Marques de Pombal kind of statue. Speaker 1: Oh, this guy knows Lisbon, dude. This guy's not messing around. This guy knows a little something or two about Lisbon, Portugal. Speaker 2: Just that just that that venue is just iconic too with the like chartreuse green kind of like uh walls and stuff. Speaker 1: They they hit it a little bit this last time. They kind of covered it up. They put up all the banners and everything, but trying to give it a more unified look. Speaker 2: And the the European scene is just like awesome too and it's like they have much more kind of like tight knit teams, I feel like in in Europe, whereas like, you know, in in in the United States, it's like Gracie Baja and and Atos and stuff, but they're a little bit like kind of more spread out. Whereas like I feel like when when you're in in Europe and you're at Euros and stuff like that, you know, it's like the teams are going wild, the teams are going crazy, the teams are screaming for for their guys and stuff like that. We had the what the the Liberdache Speaker 1: Veterache. Speaker 2: Veterache. Speaker 1: Yeah, the Veterache brothers, they that was kind of like my big introduction to the Veterache brothers who are Brazilian, but they both have schools in like uh Portugal, like I think close to Lisbon and stuff. So everybody was going absolutely nuts. It is like Euros is the time when it feels the most like um, I don't want to say like an Olympic where it's like all the nations backing, you know. But it's just like such a strong fan base for any European athlete who's kind of doing it, you know. Like I'm sure you were there whenever it was like Tommy versus Erberth and stuff and it was like, I'm sure everybody Speaker 2: Yeah, the Norway crew was going off, going crazy, you know, it's like the Kazakhstan crew always brings a crew. You have like the ZR team, which I'm not sure if ZR team's still a team, but they had a big uh Speaker 1: Maybe. Speaker 2: They had a big European contingent and everything too. And then um, oh man, what's his name there? Bruno Lima. Um, always holding it down for the Portuguese guys as well. I watched Bruno Lima fight a bunch of people as a purple belt and was fighting Mason Fowler as a brown belt and stuff like that. Speaker 1: Do you have a favorite memory from all your times at the European Championship? Speaker 2: Um, I mean, the Tommy triangle on Erberth definitely was a pretty big one and and especially because that was kind of like, you know, we we were hip to Tommy kind of like as a brown belt really, Tommy and Espen were just like killing everybody as a brown belt, just like bear and bowling everybody, taking everybody's back. So we were we were hip to them as brown belts. And we we went even went over to Norway and did some content with those guys and stuff like that. And so then to see kind of Tommy graduate to black belt and then have to fight kind of like the most feared guy, at least at that time, he kind of like was Erberth was like the the boogie man of Jiu-Jitsu and one of the scariest guys. Speaker 1: Only grappler I know with an AK-47 tattoo. Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a pretty crazy AK-47 tattoo. You know, I don't know, it's like Erberth kind of like would dip like to be like really scary to being like the guy who would just like kind of quit first, you know, it's like he had that match with Adam Wardzinski at ACB where Adam like just mounted him and and uh Erberth just tapped there. So it's like, there was always some weird stuff going on with Erberth and obviously he went on to Speaker 1: Yeah, go down a very, very low dip. Speaker 2: Yeah, and and, you know, distance ourselves, the Jiu-Jitsu community from from Erberth as much as possible, hopefully. Um, but that was an incredible one and then the other incredible one was Felipe Pena versus versus um Erberth there and uh where Erberth was just kind of putting it on Felipe for the first, you know, kind of half of the match and then ended up getting the uh the choke at the end. Those those two matches there, Tommy and and Felipe Pena, definitely some of the craziest ones. But, you know, I remember uh Keenan Cornelius had a run where he kind of like, I believe he won his weight and absolute or maybe he I think he closed out the absolute with Hulk and they rock paper scissors shoe who got the win and Hulk got the win. So, I think technically maybe he got gold and silver from that tournament, but that was like when Keenan was kind of like at the height of Keenan, just like every time he was on the mats, he showed like a crazy new lapel technique that nobody had ever seen before and he's submitting Victor Honorio and Adam Wardzinski and like all these crazy dudes with just techniques that nobody had ever seen before. So I do remember that being a pretty special tournament from from Keenan Cornelius doing the rubber guard stuff and like the Omoplata rubber guard stuff that he was doing and whatnot. Speaker 1: Yeah. Do you have uh is there anything you're predicting for this year's European Championship? I don't know if I haven't really I know registration is like 95% full, so it's going to be pretty epic. A lot of people it seems are getting in there. I don't know if I've really looked enough to give like a full Speaker 2: Yeah. I just think that this is 2026 is the year that Europe really solidifies themselves as a powerhouse in grappling, I think. You know, whether it's Poland or London or or somewhere else, you know, I think like the the the runway is there for Europe to really kind of like let everybody know that uh, you know, America's got great Jiu-Jitsu, Brazil's got great Jiu-Jitsu, but Europe now is is right in line with with the top countries in in Jiu-Jitsu and stuff like that. And just with ADCC being in Europe and, you know, obviously IBJJF Europeans coming up, there's there's more talent than ever in this European scene. We got got to see um, you know, Little Nico win win the ADCC trials. So we got a lot of these young cats that have been kind of watching the O'No Flanagans and watching the Taylor Permans and watching the Charles Negromontes and stuff like that, watching the Adam Wardzinskis now for these last kind of several years. And so it's time for this kind of next generation of European grapplers to really start kind of um, you know, making a stamp in Jiu-Jitsu. And I think that that's my biggest, you know, I'm I'm not sure if it's a prediction or anything like that, but I I do think we're going to see a lot of European champions. We just saw a bunch of European champions at Nogi Worlds. Shay Montague, Pavel Dvorcega, um, a couple others in there. I I I'm forgetting. You know, of course, Anna over there in in Spain and stuff like that. But um, I just think that we saw a little bit of it at Nogi Worlds, the the Europeans breaking through, and I think we're going to see a lot more of that in 2026. Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it's a good take. I think Nogi Worlds is a good indicator of like how well some of these Europeans are doing. Like, even if you look at the brown belts, uh, Marlon Tojick, you know, Swedish grappler, trains at Atos as well, but um is from like Sweden, trains in Stockholm there, and he ended up getting double gold in the brown belt. So it's like, yeah, it feels like Europe has been right there for a while now. Obviously, you know, like some of the pioneers like, you have Fion Davis go out and become like the first European champion. You have Adam Wardzinski come out and become the first male European champion, then become the first European to do the Grand Slam, you know. So it's kind of like, there the the trailblazers have kind of like taken care of their part of it now, and that path is set that it's like, okay, you can do this. And now it's like, so much Jiu-Jitsu is coming to Europe this year as well, that I kind of feel like you're right. Like it is like a primed year to see Europe kind of take over the Jiu-Jitsu scene. Like, imagine a European grappler comes out of uh ADCC Poland as the champ. Like that would be insane. Imagine a Polish guy gets it done, wins the ADCC World Championship in Krakow, Poland. Like, I bet that place is going to go insane, dude. Like it's going to be like a reminiscent of uh Khabib, Conor McGregor after they fought and the streets were just flooded with the Khabib fans. Speaker 2: That'd be sick. I'll be going out partying in in in Poland after in Krakow. That sounds sick. Speaker 1: That'd be nuts. I don't think you can hang, dude. Speaker 2: How many you can hang with a Krakow party scene if they got a Polish champion to get behind, dude? Speaker 1: For one night. For one night. Speaker 2: For one night. I can hang. Speaker 1: For one night in Krakow. That video would be insane. Speaker 2: That'd be sick one. Speaker 1: But the other the other part of like a little bit of this European puzzle that's being pieced together right now for 2026. Speaker 2: I was I was going to ask, how many European ADCC champions have there been? Speaker 1: I don't know off the top of my head. Uh, there's the Norwegian guy. Speaker 2: John Olav Einemo there. He's kind of the the OG. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 2: Uh fought in the UFC and stuff like that. But Speaker 1: Um, Speaker 2: There's there's got to be a couple others that uh I can't remember. Speaker 1: Yeah. Roger Gracie. Speaker 2: Let us know in the Speaker 1: Yeah, Roger Gracie. Let us know in the comments if you know some European champs that uh, you know, you guys should be we should be more hip to that we're forgetting right now. But maybe we can Speaker 2: Some old school champs. Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe we can look that up, give some more actual info on who the who the European champs are and everything for ADCC. But Speaker 2: But can I I I got some 2026 predictions I want to hit you with. Speaker 1: You want you want to go into those? You got something else? Speaker 2: You got something else? Speaker 1: Well, I was going to I was just going to dive into a little Polaris coming up, but we can go we can talk about Tommy. Speaker 2: Did we talk about the IBJJF Grand Prix? You mentioned it. Speaker 1: Not yet. I was going to get into that one too. Speaker 2: Okay, okay, gotcha. Speaker 1: You want to You want to keep going on this and then we'll go predictions? Speaker 2: No, yeah, yeah. Speaker 1: Sorry sorry to sorry to Speaker 2: You're the host, brother. Speaker 1: No, you want me to you want me to host it? Speaker 2: You want me to host it? I'll host the show. All right. Speaker 1: No, let's just shut it down. Let's shut it down. You think you're the guy now? You think you're the Speaker 2: This is the end of the this is the end of the podcast. Speaker 1: Let's just shut it down. All right. No, I'm just kidding. But I just wanted cuz this falls in line with the European thing as well. Is the the second biggest event, we got IBJJF Euros, and then basically the week right after, we're going to have Polaris Squads. And this Polaris Squads is going to be who's number one versus Polaris. So kind of an epic little uh little cross promotion thing going on. And now listen, we didn't get all of our WNO champs in there. Speaker 2: They stacked the deck against us. Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like, hey, what's going on here, Polaris? You guys are picking our squad for us. Okay, fine, I get it. It's your event. You got to do. But, you know, Mika Galvao has a WNO title or two. Maybe it'd be nice Speaker 2: The Griffith got a title. Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe it'd be nice to get some of these champs over there. I don't know. Maybe we're maybe we're getting, you know, set up here. We're kind of like, oh, we're all happy go lucky Americans flying across the pond to Wales and being like, oh, yippee, we're doing Polaris WNO. And it might be an ambush from the European scene, dude. I might go in there battle ready. I might put my freaking, I don't know what I'm going to wear. Long long leather trench coat and like a battle helmet. Speaker 2: To be honest though, if if WNO wins this Polaris Squads event, like that'll be pretty sweet. Speaker 1: I agree. I agree. Speaker 2: That'd be pretty dope. Speaker 1: I agree. Speaker 2: You got Declan Moody in there. Speaker 1: Yeah, so they they announced the full squads. So for each, I'll kind of read them out here. We got Team WNO. We got Gavin Corby, DeAndre Corby, Chris Wochick, Lucas Lera, Declan Moody, and Devonte Johnson. So definitely a solid squad. Um, and then Team Polaris, I mean, this squad is sick as well. Team Polaris is Owen Jones, Mateusz Szyszyński, Taylor Perman, Lucas Canard, Santieri Lilius, and Owen O'Flanagan. So, I think we got them when it comes to big boys. Speaker 2: How how big is Owen O'Flanagan these days? Owen O'Flanagan a big big guy, huh? Speaker 1: I mean, he's like a he's an 88 kilo guy, but he's also like a freaking teenage mutant ninja turtle when he takes his shirt off. So it's like, I don't know how big this dude can get if he's not cutting weight and stuff. He if he's coming in as the heavyweight, I'm sure Charles Allen Price has got this boy in Tren City, you know, just getting jacked. And that's not me making a steroid allegation. That's what they call their lifting crew. So just to clarify for everybody. They they're in the lab over there at Tren City just freaking getting big as can be. Ferris is in there as well. Ferris sneaky huge dude. Speaker 2: Yeah, he's a big guy. Speaker 1: Like when when Ferris does the double bicep afterwards, it's like, dang, Ferris, I don't think you're supposed to be that jacked. Like what's going on here? But Speaker 2: Ferris is the guy you don't want on top of you for sure. Speaker 1: And I'm still I keep I keep seeing comments going back and forth, you know. And I keep seeing now Owen Jones cuz DeAndre Corby posted a video of him uh fainting on Ferris and kind of like clowning him a little bit with the takedown at PJ's gym. Kind of a funny little thing, a little funny rivalry going on with the Corbeys and Owen and uh Ferris. Speaker 2: Corbeys are sneaky. Speaker 1: They are. Speaker 2: They, you know, they're they're not about it, you know, they're they're quiet, humble guys. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 2: But they they know how to make a a good meme or two, you know. Speaker 1: No, I think I think that's something people might not realize. Corbeys, hip to the internet. You know, Gavin Corby is like uh he's a perpetual internet guy. I think he came up where it's just like, you know, you're young and you just are raised by the internet. These dudes can crank out some memes. They can clown you on the internet. So, Speaker 2: Fixed fixed the uh the punching machine in in Pittsburgh too. Speaker 1: Yeah, true. Smart guy. Speaker 2: While while we were trying to figure out the punching machine, it was like not working and then and then Gavin just walked up and started pressing some buttons and removing some cords and stuff. Speaker 1: He was like he was like soldering some wires. Speaker 2: And then got to work. So, Speaker 1: So, uh, but so now I keep seeing all these European dudes being like, we're hey, Corbeys, once you land on our soil, dude, we're getting you back for what you did to Ferris. But, I'm still petitioning for Ferris to be Team WNO. You know, we know he's had a rivalry with the Polaris. Speaker 2: Unofficial unofficial Team WNO. Speaker 1: That's why I keep saying. I was like, hey, what what's going on, boys? This guy's unofficial team captain of WNO. You're not getting revenge for Ferris. Ferris is against you. I'm trying to turn Ferris against his own team, you know. Ferris has got to be a WNO representative. So, Speaker 2: But dude, uh DeAndre Corby versus Mateusz Szyszyński. Speaker 1: That's crazy. Speaker 2: That's a that's a banger of a match. Speaker 1: So, so this is like looking at these teams real quick. It's like, yeah, it feels like we got some big boys who can make some waves. Declan Moody, obviously, I think is like one of the best in the game right now. I think he just looks better and better every time he competes. Devonte Johnson, one of the most rock solid grapplers on the planet, especially when it comes to like if Devonte doesn't want you to do anything to him, he can accomplish that, you know. And then Lucas Lera, super sick. Chris Wochick can submit anybody. The Corby brothers just kind of keep rising more and more. But I feel like those middle weights, Polaris is good, dude. Polaris is when it comes to Szyszyński, Perman, Canard, Santieri. It's like Santieri's also a guy who's like, if he doesn't want you to do anything to him, you're not going to do anything to him. Speaker 2: Yeah, Santieri's a winner. Speaker 1: He can lock it down and just win a match. But the Polaris rules, they're a little different, right? Especially for squads. I'm not I should have probably got a little more hip to all the exact details. Speaker 2: So many rule sets out there. It's tough to keep track of. Speaker 1: I know. Let's unify. Sub only, no time limit. Unify the rules. Speaker 2: Hell yeah. Speaker 1: But I believe Polaris is like, it's a set time. Like the squad event goes for like 60 minutes. Speaker 2: That's right. That's right. Speaker 1: And the each match is like, let's say like five minutes or something. They're short matches, but it's like, if you get a submission, you get points. So it's like you're adding up team points as you go. But and that person stays out, right? If they get the submission. And so, basically, it's like some people just need to like get time to pass. Some people need to get submission to rack up points. But it's kind of no matter what, there's going to be 60 minutes of matches that go down. Speaker 2: Crazy. Speaker 1: So, it definitely makes it where it's like, when you start looking into that rule specifically and some of these teams, I'm kind of like, okay, who do we have that can like get us a lead with points? Who do we have that can kind of, you know, like manage the clock? There's like a clock management type of thing, you know. This is like NFL teams, you know, they got to have good clock management. I feel like in squads, you got to kind of also have good clock management as well as racking up points. Polaris has some dangerous dudes who can put up points. Speaker 2: Yeah, Taylor, Lucas, and uh Mateusz Szyszyński. Owen O'Flanagan, I was going to say, it's like those dudes can just like find submissions, you know, I feel like. Speaker 1: I I feel like Mateusz Szyszyński specifically is a guy, especially cuz like we've seen him do it on Polaris. He could go out there and squad wipe. You know what I mean? It's like he can just go nuts and just like straight ankle lock every single person and then like now they're just up whatever it is, like five points and like no time has passed. Now we finally Devonte gets Mateusz out, but then it's like, now we have a fresh Taylor Perman who's getting to go again, you know. It's like, it's a little scary. There's some dangerous dudes. Obviously, we got guys on the our side who can do that as well, you know, like Chris Wochick and Lucas Lera, Declan, obviously. Like, but I don't know. When it comes to like this format of racking up points, like, I'm worried a little bit. I'll admit it. I'll admit it, dude. I'm a little worried and I need Ferris to get the team right. Ferris, if you're listening, dude, connect with us. We got to get you as a team captain, all right? Speaker 2: We need a leader. Speaker 1: We need you in a tracksuit, mat side, just like you can do a you can wear a suit jacket, no shirt underneath, show everybody how jacked you are, you know. We got to get these boys right, but we need you to flip on Team Europe. Come you're you're a WNO guy now, bro. You need to stand by that. You need to commit to it. Speaker 2: Uh Lucas Canard is definitely a wild card, you know, I feel like Speaker 1: For sure. Speaker 2: We we saw we've seen flashes of how good Lucas is and then we've seen flashes of of kind of, I don't know, um, I don't want to say a boring Lucas, but uh, you know, just somebody Speaker 1: I mean, it's fair to say. Lucas versus Chris, that was a boring match, right? It was just two guys who were so good at what they do, just kind of nullifying each other. But yeah, I I think it's like that's not what Chris and Lucas are overall. It's just like there's every grappler is capable of a boring match. These guys are also capable of insane matches. But I also think like, I don't know, like Chris came out after his last WNO match and was like, yeah, all you haters who said I'm one dimensional and couldn't do other stuff, like suck it, you know. Not his exact words, but like, he's basically like, I can I can sweep, I can pass, you know. So it's like, I think these dudes match up again and like, they're probably going to want to ball out, you know. Like they're not going to want that hate of another boring match on their resume. So, I think I think yeah, I think this one could be sick. I also just think Polaris Squads brings a dynamic where it's like, it's not low stakes by any means. Like there's honestly a lot riding on this one, especially representing WNO and representing Polaris, like promotions kind of representing each other, especially with the innate tie-in of like Europe versus kind of America, you know, to some degree. Um, I think there are high stakes, but it does feel like a promotion that allows people to just kind of like let it rip a little more, you know. It's like, you're not going to you don't lose ADCC if you go out there and just like throw some crazy shit at the wall and see if you can get a submission. But like, Speaker 2: You're going to get multiple matches. Speaker 1: Yeah, your your teammate's going to come back out there if you don't get it done. You're going to get another rounds or another match up. So, I feel like this one could be uh this could be a banger of a way to start the year. Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm just so excited that Polaris is now on Flow Grappling again. You know, Polaris is one of the premier super fight shows, you know, in the world and it's obviously been on Fight Pass for a long time. We've watched a long uh for a long time is there. It started, you know, we did Polaris 2 on Flow Grappling all the way back in I believe that was 2015. So it's kind of a full circle moment and I've been to pretty much every Jiu-Jitsu tournament there is at this point except for Polaris. So I'm excited to kind of finally get an up close view of of what these guys are doing there. And it just shout out to them for for doing it for 10 years now too as well. Speaker 1: You going out there for this? We going to see Uncle Reed in in Wales? Speaker 2: Hopefully, for sure. Speaker 1: I've been to Wales. Speaker 2: I've never been to Wales. So, Speaker 1: I've been there. I've been to Swansea, baby. The people told me, they said, Speaker 2: Swansea in in January. Speaker 1: Yeah, they told me, they said, Trey, Trey, listen, man, don't go to Swansea. Don't do it. Don't take the Great British Rail from Paris to Swan or from I took something from Paris to London and then the Great British Rail from London to Swansea. And I did it anyways, you know. And I love Wales. I'm a Wales guy. Speaker 2: Yeah, the cool dragon on their flag, for sure. Speaker 1: One of the coolest flags. Who do you think has the coolest flags in all the world? I got I got two that I I would throw out there right away. Speaker 2: Coolest flags in the world? Nepal. Nepal's got a cool one. Speaker 1: What do they have? Speaker 2: They got like a it's like a little like double triangle, small small flag. It's like not not a square, I think. Speaker 1: Okay. Speaker 2: Saudi Arabia has the uh the sword on on the Speaker 1: Actually, I got three. Speaker 2: That one was pretty cool. But the Wales flag's got the dragon on it. Speaker 1: I mean, the Wales flag with the dragon, the the white and green, I believe, you know, that one's sick. I'd put it up there one of the best flags. I'd put Mozambique up there because they got an AK-47 on their flag. That's nuts to put I believe it's Mozambique. That's that's crazy that's wild, dude, just to throw an AK-47 up there. Let everybody know that you're not messing around. And then the other one is Albania, the Albanian flag, like the black or the red with the black like uh bird, you know, like a falcon or what it is. But so those are some sick that's flag talk on the Flow Grappling Show for you guys. Speaker 2: Truthfully, I'm a I'm a stars and stripes guy though, you know. Speaker 1: I just listen, I don't want to get hate for being an anti-USA, you know, star-spangled banner type of guy. I think it's an iconic flag. I think it stands for such great stuff. It's an incredible flag, but from a graphic design perspective alone, it's not the coolest flag. You know, it's not quite the sickest flag. What it stands for? Speaker 2: Japan's got a sick flag too. Speaker 1: That was pretty cool. Speaker 2: The rising sun. Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. Japan does have a good flag. So, anyways, that was flag talk. Thanks for tuning in to flag talk. Uh, but Speaker 2: New segment on the show, flag talk. Speaker 1: But Polaris obviously going to be sick. And then right after that, I think in February, we got the IBJJF Nogi Absolute Grand Prix. This 2026 is just shaping up to be a banger from the rip. And then even later in the year, we got ADCC, we got CGI 3, you know, it's like, dude, 2026 is going to be an epic year for Jiu-Jitsu. But this uh IBJJF Absolute Nogi Grand Prix. We got two people announced. I think one more just came out right before we announced this, if I'm not mistaken. Maybe I'm leaking stuff. I don't know. But so far it's been announced that Michael Pixley and Victor Hugo are in. And I believe they just announced Nick Hartman as well. So we got two dudes who uh won Nogi Worlds at brown belt, Pixley and Nick Hartman, who I think are just a couple of the best grapplers out there, to be honest. And then Victor Hugo, a tried and true black belt world champion, you know, one of the best to do it right now. Like an epic three to start off that Nogi Grand Prix. What are you thinking of that one so far? Speaker 2: Yeah, no, excited about that as well. Um, you know, IBJJF has done these these Grand Prixs kind of more recently and uh they they've kind of dabbled in the ghee, dabbled in Nogi, but I'm excited to see that this is going to be a a Nogi Grand Prix. And uh, you know, Pixley, Hartman, Victor Hugo, that's already kind of three like wild cards, you know, and and guys we haven't seen face off against each other, fresh match ups. So that's exciting. And um, you know, Pixley has punched his ticket to ADCC. Uh, Nick Hartman still still um trying to punch his ticket to ADCC. So, Victor Hugo will probably be there. I'm not sure how that all all work out. But uh so I think definitely a lot of implications for for, you know, kind of world titles being being won later on in in the year. But uh just super excited to see Pixley at black belt. Of course, we saw Pixley uh have that great match with Maragali at the last uh ADCC World Championships. He's been mixing it up in the brown belts for a long time now and now we're finally going to see him fight Victor Hugo. Like that's that's crazy, you know. And and obviously, I'm sure there's going to be some other big names that are going to kind of um come through there as well. But uh Speaker 1: To to be honest, I haven't heard of like I haven't heard any murmurs or any rumors of who actually is potentially going to be in this one. Do you have any predictions or people that you think might end up rounding out this bracket or that you would like to see in this bracket? Anything like that? I feel I feel like I I have a couple. Like I think if it depends how much they're going to skew it towards big guys versus how much they're going to mix in some of the lower weights and everything. I feel like Nico Maglicic could be someone that could potentially uh get in the mix. Uh, I think Roosevelt Souza because he's just coming off of, you know, Nogi Worlds double gold, like would kind of make sense, especially in the IBJJF ecosystem to put him in the mix. Um, but yeah, I don't know. You got any anyone else? Speaker 2: That's a great that's a great idea. Speaker 1: Um, Speaker 2: Um, I mean, I was just going to say maybe somebody like a like a Mark McQueen even. Like he's not really in the IBJJF circuit. He's he's definitely more on the IBJJF on the ADCC Open circuit and stuff like that. But uh Mark McQueen might be somebody interesting to to kind of throw in there. Speaker 1: He's he did like Nogi Worlds last year and stuff. Yeah, I believe I believe he was a brown belt. I don't know if he's got his black belt yet or not. Um, but but yeah, there's definitely like a lot of solid dudes to get in there. Speaker 2: It sounds like they're going big guys, you know, if you're going to have somebody contending against a Victor Hugo and stuff like that, you kind of need some bigger guys. Um, Speaker 1: They'll probably throw Fabricio Andre in there. Just Fabricio Andre is just the ultimate like Speaker 2: Fabricio Andre would be sick. Speaker 1: Like Fabricio Andre is just like for some reason the guy who always ends up in these absolute brackets. So, maybe he'll be in there, you know, that'd be crazy. Speaker 2: Ferris. Speaker 1: Yeah, Ferris in the mix. Speaker 2: Ferris in there. Speaker 1: I don't I don't Mika's probably going to be busy. That's probably around the time he'll have his baby, I would assume. Um, Speaker 2: But throw Mika in there, that would be sick. Speaker 1: Yeah, Mika would be crazy. Yeah, I think, you know, while we're on the trend of European guys, let's get some let's get some Euro grapplers in there. Freaking throw Mateusz Szyszyński in there or someone Taylor Perman, you know, let's get one of these guys in there. Speaker 2: Even Marlon Tojick. Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, Marlon Tojick would be epic as well. But so that was going to be sick as well. Um, there's not a lot of other crazy news going on. I know Cage Fury went down. Uh, some good wins there. Oliver Taza getting the win by triangle. Max Hampson, uh, uh, he won by heel hook. Jocelyn Molina also getting a submission win. So, some good stuff there. And then kind of just an MMA type of tie-in. I believe Bia Basilio just signed to LFA. So, getting Bia Basilio coming into the MMA world, which should be pretty epic. Another great representative of Jiu-Jitsu in the MMA world. Speaker 2: All right, let me hit you with some 2026 predictions. I'm I'm going to steal these right out the gate so you can't hit them. Speaker 1: Okay. Speaker 2: But I got two predictions for the uh 2026 season. So, if you're an elite grappler, maybe now's the time to just kind of stop listening. Uh so nobody gets their feelings hurt or anything like that. Um, but no, no, no. Okay, so, first prediction of 2026. All right. You ready? Yeah, it's boring already. Okay. Nicholas Maragali wins an ADCC title in 2026. Speaker 1: Okay. You think the big comeback? Speaker 2: The big comeback for Nicholas Maragali is on the table. We haven't seen him in a year plus uh at this point. You know, uh obviously had some injuries and stuff like that. He's working back. We've been talking about getting him on who's number one for a little bit. But uh, you know, he's getting he's he's he's almost right there, I feel like. And um, I think that 2026 we're going to see a a powerful, charged up, scary Nicholas Maragali who's coming back on a war path. Speaker 1: Okay. Good prediction. I like it. Speaker 2: Good prediction. Speaker 1: Yeah, a lot of people are throwing Maragali's name out there for the IBJJF uh Absolute Grand Prix. I don't know if he'll if he'll debut back on that, to be honest. I feel like he'll want some super fights to get back rolling and everything. Speaker 2: Before he gets in a bracket. Speaker 1: Yeah, but uh I like that prediction. Maragali ADCC champion 2026. What's your next one? Speaker 2: All right, next prediction and this goes I just think that there's just so much talent now in these kind of lower weight classes and stuff like that. There's a lot of names that uh maybe we don't even know about who are going to be making big waves in 2026 and there's just a lot of talent, I feel like, especially in uh that 77 pound division. Speaker 1: Oh, man. Speaker 2: So, I'm predicting we are going to see a first time champion at 77 this year. So that means Speaker 1: Okay. Speaker 2: No Kade Ruotolo, no Mika Galvao. Speaker 1: No Kade Ruotolo. Speaker 2: No Kade Ruotolo. I don't I don't know. I I you know, if Kade comes back, maybe that changes things, but I just don't think Kade will come back. I think he's pretty set on his his MMA aspirations and he's obviously killing it over there and won and everything like that. Speaker 1: So part of your prediction is we don't see Kade at ADCC 2026. Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't I don't think we see Kade do Jiu-Jitsu really in 2026. I think he's just on the MMA route. And um, so I I think that means somebody dethrones Mika at 77. Speaker 1: Okay. That's my prediction. Speaker 2: That's my that's my prediction. Speaker 1: Wow. You think we'll see Mika at ADCC 2026? Speaker 2: I I think we will see Mika at ADCC. Speaker 1: Okay. Cuz obviously it's like it's going to be a crazy what happens with Mika in 2026 year. Speaker 2: Yeah, a lot going on in his life, you know. Speaker 1: He and a me are obviously having a baby. Their baby's due pretty soon, I believe. So it's like, who knows what that change is, what it doesn't change, you know, how much he wants to do, how much he doesn't want to do. So, you know, that is a it is going to be a crazy year for Mika. I'll be excited to kind of Speaker 2: So Mika, don't hate me, you know, prove me wrong, you know, just uh dunk dunk in my face, you know. Speaker 1: Yeah, true. Speaker 2: Um, obviously, you know, Mika is incredible. We haven't seen a whole lot of him and and uh, you know, we saw him a little bit at CGI. Uh didn't really kind of make the waves we were expecting him to to to make at uh at CGI. Um, and then, you know, obviously he's he's kind of moving moving around. Um, you know, he's he's got the baby, got a lot of things to focus on. I'm not sure if Jiu-Jitsu's going to be uh kind of the number one focus as it's always been in his life. You know, this this will kind of be a new chapter in the life of of Mika Galvao where he's maybe not able to just pour every ounce of of his life into Jiu-Jitsu, you know. So, Speaker 1: Do you do you have prospects that you're like, these are some of the guys I think potentially or do you do you even want to get into into the prospect talk of 77? Speaker 2: I I honestly just think that like we haven't seen the the the best 77s yet, you know. Like I think we are going to see some some kind of new guys uh kind of come onto the scene and and make a lot of waves and and, you know, just like we saw in 2022 where where it was kind of, you know, Kade and Mika kind of were taking out all the uh the legends and the veterans and stuff like that. You know, it's like this type of stuff happens in in Jiu-Jitsu. It's a it's a young man's game for sure. And Mika's still a young man, of course, and it's very, very possible he proves me wrong, of course. But um, yeah, I don't know. I I think we're going to see some some shakeups in that division. Speaker 1: Okay. I like the prediction. I think it's uh it's a fair one because to be honest, you also still have some like tried and true veterans in the mix who aren't ADCC champions yet, who could still get it done. Like first guy who comes to mind for me is like Dante Leone. Speaker 2: Dante Leone. Speaker 1: It's like Dante Leone isn't yet an ADCC champion, but that feels like a guy who like, he's always right there. He always has a super tight match. It's like one little deciding thing maybe ends up like taking away his uh championship run, you know. Last year we see him lose early on, but then come back and submit Mika in the absolute. So it's like, okay, he's capable of submitting a guy who just Speaker 2: Champion. Speaker 1: Just won the 77 kilo division. So it's like, yeah, I don't know. Even Dante would fall into that category. PJ Barge, you know, there's a lot of dudes like that. Elijah Dorsey, who are still kind of like pretty proven, you know, about as proven as a grappler can be. Speaker 2: Yeah, no, you're right. Speaker 1: That could do it. But then also like you said, there's just new crop that could uh come and and uh make waves. So, Speaker 2: Pavel's at 88 though. Speaker 1: Pavel's at 88, yeah. Speaker 2: Pavel's at 88. Speaker 1: But Joseph Chin technically at 88, but like who knows? He could go back down to 77 and uh make a run there. But so yeah, I don't know. I like that one. I will say that I don't have a great prediction. As as as you drop these predictions that sound like you've given them some thought and some, you know, like maybe there's some good reasoning behind them. I'll say I don't have a great prediction. I will say, you know, honestly, like I think one thing I was going to say is like, I think maybe 2026 is when we do see a European win uh ADCC. I don't know what division, to be honest. Like it just feels like now is the time for a European guy to and I know it's been done before, but like it's it's time for a European guy to take over one of these divisions and get the win. Um, but then, you know, you start thinking about it and I'm like, man, 88, dude, like after John Carlo won his second one, like, I don't I don't know if I'll ever bet against John Carlo at ADCC, at least until someone like proves that they can knock him off. Like I might say that I'm maybe leaning towards John Carlo as a three-time like a three-peat champion at 88. He just feels like I know John Carlo takes losses in other uh events and other rule sets and stuff like that, you know. But not really ADCC. This guy's just like the king of ADCC right now, especially at 88 kg. And I know like obviously the Kingsway stable comes so prepared, like so focused for ADCC. Like that is kind of like when it comes down to it, their total mission is winning ADCC gold. And so, it's hard to bet against uh John Carlo at 88 for me. I kind of after he won last year, I said I wasn't going to bet against him again. So I feel like I should stay true to that. And maybe I should just throw the prediction out that I think John Carlo becomes three-time champ. That might be one of my predictions for 2026. But that's just so hard to say though, you know what I mean? Like knowing all these dudes who are who are going to be in the bracket, who are going to be coming to win the next round of trials and everything. Like it's hard to do, but maybe that's my prediction is John Carlo 3-peat champion. Um, but then on top of that, yeah, like I said, I do think maybe a European gets it done in one of the other divisions. And I'm going to also say, this is an early year prediction. So, maybe there will be egg on my face early on in 2026. I also think a European wins the European Championship for IBJJF. I don't I don't know who it'll be, but I just think like, yeah, Europe, like you said, this is the year that they can really kind of take over, solidify themselves as like, you know, there's not a gap between Brazil. It's like America, I think has closed the gap where it's like, there's no gap between America and Brazil now when it comes to like high-level competitors. And I think maybe Europe, like we were talking about, is now going to need like they're going to take this year to kind of close that and be like, there's not really a gap between us either anymore. And I think maybe it kicks off early with a European win in the European Championship. It was Adam last year who kind of did it, you know. And we saw obviously like Tarek won Nogi Worlds. So a lot of Pavel won Nogi Worlds. A lot of these guys getting it done Nogi now. I think some people don the kimono once again, kind of come back and and some Europeans bring home some gold at the European Championship. So, that's an early year prediction. So, pretty much everybody watching at home, you know, you can you can tell me early on that I was stupid and I was wrong. So, so keep a tab on that one and let me know whenever the European Championship comes around. But any any other big Speaker 2: Got another another big prediction here. I think this, which camera am I looking at, Slack? This camera right here. All right. I think this 2026 is the year that you finally get a Flow Grappling subscription. Speaker 1: Hey, yo. Speaker 2: That's right. That's the it's the year. It's the year you finally pull the trigger and get a Flow Grappling sub cuz it's going to be a crazy year. You sign up right now, you get Polaris, you get all the IBJJF, you get uh ADCC trials, ADCC World Championships. Don't sleep on this year. There's going to be plenty of good shit to watch. Speaker 1: True. All right. So, let's see if that one comes true. Speaker 2: So, let's see if that one comes true. Speaker 1: Yeah, we we we're counting on you guys to make that one true. So, go ahead and do us a solid here so we at least get one prediction correct. Speaker 2: And and then, you know, we got got guys like Kainan Duarte, we didn't even really talk about, you know, coming back, of course. He had an incredible year. Speaker 1: Potentially you're going to see Kainan versus uh Gordon. I don't know if Gordon's going to do it or not. Definitely could, but who knows? That'd be a crazy one. Speaker 2: Kainan versus Mika in the absolute or something like that, you know. But um, you know, Tynan Dalpra, of course, had an incredible year last year. Speaker 1: Dude, there's there's a prediction for you. Do we see Tynan Dalpra at the 2026 ADCC World? Yeah, or at all. Speaker 2: Oh, at at ADCC. Speaker 1: I was going to say at ADCC. Speaker 2: Wait, is he he's signed up for Euros, right? I think. Speaker 1: Yeah, I believe I believe Tynan, Cole, Pato, I believe Speaker 2: They're AJ Crew signed up. Speaker 1: Yeah, I think they they submitted their registration, but I don't know. Yeah, yeah, no, man, you know, it felt like Tynan was flirting with Nogi for for a minute there and he was talking about doing ADCC and getting into the Nogi scene. Of course, he did a couple who's number one matches and stuff like that. But it just doesn't seem he's as hot on the Nogi stuff anymore and maybe he's a little bit more just kind of focused on winning his what, his fourth or fifth world? Speaker 1: This will be his fourth. Yeah. Speaker 2: Fourth World title. Um, you know, so, Speaker 1: That's a good point. That's a that's a big milestone that obviously all these grapplers want to hit. So, he could just be locked in on on getting that one done, winning the fourth World Championship. But yeah, I don't know. Some good predictions, you know. Hopefully you guys enjoyed that one. You got you got anything else before we get out of here? Speaker 2: No, I think that's it. Kind of a chill time right now. Not too much going on in the Jiu-Jitsu world, but uh good time to make some some leaps in your training too. While everybody else is is uh is just pigging out on some some food and whatnot. But uh I don't know. So you got to get into the gym, I guess. You got to Speaker 1: Yeah, true. I've been thinking about pirating uh Craig Jones's new Octopus 2.0. Speaker 2: Yeah, Octopus guard's fun. It is fun to play and mess around with for sure. Speaker 1: Yeah. It's it's also fun. Speaker 2: I'm coming out Octopus guard in 2026. Speaker 1: You're an Octopus guard guy. That's my prediction. No way, dude. My prediction is that Reed does not become an Octopus guard guy in 2026. Speaker 2: Dude, I'm sweeping this dude tonight with Octopus guard. Speaker 1: No, Reed's going to sweep me tonight, no doubt. And it's just going to be with the most like old school traditional collar sleeve you've ever seen. It's just like the same as always. I can't stop it. But hey, there ain't no innovation going on in that game, brother. Just old yeah. I figured out something that works. I'm going to stick to it. That's Reed. So, and he beats me up with it. I can't deny that. But, you know, but once I learn that Octopus guard, once you know, the biggest lie Jiu-Jitsu ever told, it's not about positional dominance. It's about constant movement and transitions. Is a quote from Craig Jones in his recent YouTube video talking about Octopus 2.0. If you guys haven't seen that, go watch that video. Craig basically I've watched that one yet. Craig goes like line by line, kind of in his cadence. And you have no idea what the next line is going to be the entire video. It's just a constant stream of just like left turns. What the hell is Craig going to say next, dude? It is a it takes you all over the place, you know. It's a it's a deep dive into philosophy and guard and, you know, human human nature and just all kinds of stuff, you know, political discourse and I don't know. Go check that one out. I had no idea what was coming next that entire video. But yeah, so I think that's pretty much a wrap here. Speaker 2: The new studio. Speaker 1: Yeah, in the new stu right here. Undisclosed living room somewhere in Texas. We'll give you guys that. Somewhere in Texas, but we're not giving any more information about this. But uh yeah, you know, hopefully we'll be in a new studio soon. Hopefully this one wasn't too bad for you guys. Hopefully you enjoyed it. But next episode, we're going to be crowning the new Flow Grappling Awards uh champions. Speaker 2: So get your votes in. If you haven't got your votes in. Speaker 1: Voting is, you know, is going dummy right now. So don't miss out. You're going to want to be a part of that. Uh and on January 5th, we're going to announce the winners for all the categories. So thank you guys for watching. Thank you for tuning in as always. And we'll see you guys in the next episode.
